something really odd I think. I used to follow conversations, people would answer questions... what happened? Why is this section almost dead? Why isn’t anyone providing feedback, discussing, etc?

Is it the campaign? People are tired of Aleph? Moved to other forum? I’m wondering...

I'm planning on starting a miniature plog thread for a converted Steel Phalanx army idea I'm building. However I think it would be better in the Miniatures section of the forum instead of the Aleph area. Though if you want to see it grow feel free to stop buy once I start putting pictures up. As for the Aleph section being dead? Your guess is as good as mine. Hopefully it will pick up after the event ends. I need some advice on Steel Phalanx list-building that could use some answers.

It's "dead" in the sense that the OSS newness has worn off, SP is pretty well established and there are no releases rumored, expected or known to be in the works. CB's 1 aleph release every 2 months doesnt seem to have kept up, so there's not that much to talk about.

It's a matter of asking... While answers won't always be perfect or accurate, there will be answers ;)

I'm afraid lists are kinda hard to help with, because of the sheer variation of tables and the models you might have around. Nevertheless, don't lose hope!

Because it was never alive in the first place. Aleph is simply a digital facsimile of life coursing through false bodies animated by quantronic necromancy.

Wait, the Aleph Forum, in that case probably because even OSS didn't bring any great changes, revelations or shakeups like IA or VIRD did. A similar thing happened in the Ariadna Forum as TAK was pretty much "as expected" and didn't create much discussion.

Interest and conversation on factions is a lot like personal transport in the Netherlands, and with N4/Code 1 looming on the horizon I expect every forum will see big increases in traffic.

Yeah, I expect discussion to pick up when more details about n4/c1 get released.

It may be your expectations/the questions you're asking. Here are your last three topics and a guess as to why they might not have gotten much traction:

    • Advice on Countermeasures
      • Its a new mission and not many people have played it yet.
    • List Building for Annhilation/Quadrant Control
      • List building particularly for these missions is quite mundane/arbitrary. I know I dont love positing list advice cause it always feels like someones got a problem with it.
    • Advice against Speculos
      • Seemed like you got a decent amount of replies on this one.

No. The page isn't super active. On the one hand, the facebook communities tend to be a little more active in my experience. On the other hand it seems like there are a lot of repeated questions that often revolve around, "here's my list, how do I make it good?". It's a question that takes a lot of effort to answer and is outrageously subjective.

Yep, that's why usually I try to at least present a list and the situation at hand, but I do get your point. I just needed a different perspective, some optimization etc, and that usually is less troublesome to reply to.

I would understand it If I was asking to build me a list... but that was not the case.

But I get it :) the situation is due to several reasons.
