After months of being crazy busy, we're FINALLY starting our Aristeia 99 mini-series. The purpose here is to go over the basic elements of Aristeia because not everyone learns well from reading. The first episode is up, and is all about the sales-pitch of the game. I just finished recording Aristeia 99: Dice, and am working to have it ready by Wednesday :) Thoughts, comments, topic ideas, and more appreciated! This is beginner focused, not advanced theory and strategy!
Today's episode is Aristeia 99: Dice! Next episode will be reading character cards :) Thoughts, comments, topic ideas, and more appreciated! This is beginner focused, not advanced theory and strategy!
New Aristeia 99 up! This week its reading character cards! Next episode will be the ten standard Tactics cards :) Thoughts, comments, topic ideas, and more appreciated! This is beginner focused, not advanced theory and strategy!
Aristeia 99: Basic Tactic Cards is up! This week we're covering the base 10 Tactics cards that everyone uses. Ideas, suggestions, and more welcome!
New Aristeia 99 video up: this time I talk about our experiences with Assault, Blitz, and King of the Hill with how each scenario affected team composition!
Aristiea 99: Maximus! My first character basics, and twice the length as normal. Feedback would be appreciated since I've not one of these before, and really want to improve how useful they are!
Big thing is trying to be mindful of time, and not missing things new players would want to know. Its so easy to make assumptions, "everyone knows this" when that's not the case, you know?
Thank you! Trying to decide who to do for the rest of the month. I need to get the 23rd and 30th done early as I'll be on a trip to the east coast of the USA then. Anything you feel I'm missing for beginners/new players?
BONUS VIDEO! Covering the Advanced Tactics decks out on the 24th of this month. You've pre-ordered, right?
When you are using Sterling Forge you CAN use the "Before making a Combat Roll" Tactics to add dice to your Defense rolls. That's still a Combat Roll. Great video 'though!
Thank you! Thinking about it, I should've joked "Corvus Belli needs to change the rules so I'm right," but naaaah. edit: Updated the description with the correction first.
Today its Wild Bill for Aristeia 99! The next two weeks are being worked on now as I've got a wedding to go to (groomsman). But please, comment with ideas, suggestions, etc!
Finally! Its time for Aristeia 99: hEXx3r! Or Hexxer for us non-l33t folks. I will say that @hEXx3rAGLis on Twitter one of, if not my favorite of Corvus Belli's social media team :)
Aristeia 99: Gata is up! Hopefully I did a good job of selling her as more than just a scorer. I made an effort there because I think it'd be easy for a new player to dismiss as such since she has no attacks (other than contender).
Aristeia 99 this week we cover Parvati: the damage healing, States clearing, dual wielding creation of ALEPH.
I think I'd list States/Damage/Scoring and only THEN Healing. While it's something she CAN do, she's surprisingly poor at it all things considered. Of course, she's one of only two Aristos who offer healing at all, so gift horses and all that.
