You're first list is pretty good, I wouldn't really rate that second list for acquisition, you're wanting a model to get to the centre of the board and hold a positionagainst warbands and CQB specialists so i's say an overdron datatracker is a poor choice, especially without a suppression fire option. (0 | 4) 6 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army A Sphinx is a good central defender that can hold it's own against enemies within 16" the Rodok team is super killy and good at holding up field, better able to take cover, has visual mods, basically all of them have CQB equipment and since we've had to sub out Dr Boobworm for a malignos they can bring their own paramedic which with morat phys isn't as much of a kiss of death. Unfortuntly Onyx are pretty stuffed by Liason officers, having to pay 3x+ the going rate for a line trooper FO, you could always go for a list which works more around a malignos FO such as going down the drones and guided attacks route, or just ignore that last objective point completely. That all said a Malignos FO works well with the above list which is up for some mid field aggression.
First of all, thank you for the reply! I see my error in the Acquisition list. Your list makes a lot of sense and I dig the Sphinx. Will try the list in a test run. As Data Tracker I have to use the Umbra, right? Edit: Is a Liason Officer really necessary, as you can either score with him or the Data Tracker?
Well, that is the point. I would like to have it in marker state, especially without an Engineer in my list.
