I got the basic poses of my 3 Tanko down, they just need a touch of greenstuff and theyre done. And using the Haqq remote legs, I put them on a Rui Shi. Looks alot better now, fills out the S4 base nicely.
I got my Brawlers finished up today. I'm pretty happy how relatively quickly I got them done to a decent tabletop standard. I also started another thread for finished photos and a bit of backstory. https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/breakwall-group.34396/#post-276699 First 2:
Now for something really weird. My Karakuri. I'm doing one in covert mode and one extending out into combat. Trying to base them on the GITS geisha bots.
Yer, initially I was going to try use the JSA Geisha, but then found these plastics which are nice and just so much easier to work with. I'd forgotten how much easier it was to work with plastic.
A few more conversions finished and ready for painting: My Cube Jager: Tokusetsu: First Tanko: Juan Juan:
Been a while but I painted up my test Shasvastii Shrouded. Still going with the muted dark alien look.
I like it, but it kinda feels like the gun barrel could stand to be a different color than the casing. Maybe that's just due to the monster close-up? Ooh, or maybe a little splash of glow on the top of the gunsight? I did that on all my YJ (which strangely enough have the same shape gunsight).
Yer, thanks for the feedback, I gave the barrel a bit more of a highlight, I'll add a little bit of OSL to it as well to break it up the black a bit.
A few shots of my Shrouded that are starting to come together. The BSG Dazer layer: Combi Rifle toolbox: And a hood closeup of another one with a Combi Rifle:
My Shrouded are finished: And I started making up a base for my Haiduk to slot into when he goes into foxhole:
Oh nice paint jobs! Personally I'm just in a "trainee" level painter (yet), but since I have a local "Wargamers club's" members as my teachers, I may one day reach to the ranks of legends (propability is very low, but not impossible...). Do believe me, we have members who gained admiration and certificates from the paint jobs of their wargame armies here in Finland. The most anticipated prizes come from Cons and "WarHead" wargaming events. There are a few InfiNity models owning members at the club, but their InfiNity gaming activity is currently at slumber mode... Basing is one of the things I barely do at all, unless you don't count grass... or snow... or bog...
Thanks mate, all it takes is a bit of practice and you'll quickly start seeing results, I wouldnt consider myself an expert painter, but I'm happy with the quality I can get. I've been practicing some speed painting techniques to try increase the rate I can turn over models. Setting goals for yourself I find helps alot with improving, whether its painting, basing, gaming or converting.
@Dedled Really like your growing hooded Shasvastii force which is coming along very nicely I might add.
Honestly, I had the french version quote in mind which is "you don't have a lucky charm's face". It may suit better my reaction to the minis.
