. Pardon but I put in some edits specifically re Exrah and SEF and Merrovingia (Three of my factions) purple is fact dark green is my personal opinion Personally I think Tohaa are here to stay, they had definately reached the limits of the design space (just look at the makaul, sukeul, gao rael triads in basically every list each symbio mated up to the eyes) Spiral don't have those turbo min-max options and their new stuff is pretty rightfully restricted in generic tohaa (much like the gwailo or M-drone nanoscreen is in vanilla CA) but tohaa remain super strong. You can still probably get hold of tohaa, I got an after market 300pt box a few weeks ago for £40 and even so CB have previously stated they cycle out a sectoral to make room, they've repeatedly stated they'll cycle back in, probably with new sculpts, just not for a while (years) the only faction they've fully discontinues is Exrah which was a faction of three models, all bullshit OP.
Thanks. I was in a rush to get the post out before leaving work to pick up my daughter and all those names just merge together :P
Actually come to think of it. When Bit and Kiss were announced as CA models originally they were just Vanilla + Onyx weren't they? It wasn't until people complained that they got added into MAF and SEF (later to be removed again). edit: Wow just realized I already had that in there and Im just a big dumb today D:
For the sake of completenes, SEF and FRRM were dropped from HSN3 in favour of Onyx and the full fleshing out of the (then) recently released USARF. Neither received rules updates at the time. The FRRM miniatures line was later mostly removed from production, coinciding with a brief rules update and the new Chasseur. SEF went pretty much untouched until the Daddy's Fall rules update followed by new miniatures with Op: Wildfire.
Don't joke about that... I'm relatively new to this and spent about 15 minutes looking for that model yesterday to put in on my "get it before it's gone" list
The poor Taqeul was never given a chance, even though it is very good in some missions. If Infinity N4 improves Regeneration or makes that skill cheaper, the Taqeul will improve a lot (if it still exists in N4).
Wow. As a beginner, I hadn't even realised Corregidor and QK were discontinued. I really wished info on what is still produced and what is not was available officially somewhere. Perhaps with similar info on individual models. One question: isn't Acontecimento also discontinued?
I think he mixed Acon with Corregidor... As far as I know, Acon was discontinued and got a Farewell narrative mission event (something in Paradiso). Please take into account that only Acontecimiento and Merovingia, I think, have been totally discontinued aside from the "farewell Chasseur". All the other "discontinued" factions keep having production of most of their models thanks to NA2 (or, in Acon's case, Aleph too xD). For example, Qapu has lost only the Hawwa, Hafzas, Djanbazan, Sekban and Azrail, meaning the starter box, the sekban box, the djanbazan box, and 6-7 blisters... Leaving them with the Odalisques (Dashat), Ghulam (all sectorials), Kaplan (Foreign Company), Janissaries (Ramah), Leyla Sharif (all sectorials, I think), Bashi Bazouk (Ikari...), Yuan Yuan (Ikari and more too), Wild Bill (everywhere), Support Pack & remotes (everywhere) and Corregidor units.
I think the farewell mission you're referring to was for Merovingia (they all get killed in a final confrontation). Fair enough for factions still having models in production, but it's a maze to navigate. It's admittedly partly my fault for wanting to play WYSIWYG (at least for the model, I'm ok proxying loadouts). For example, for Qapu, I would have no idea if the remaining models are enough to put a proper army together...

I stand corrected. I love how factions get to die gloriously en masse before getting discontinued... And I guess that's as good a sign as any that Tohaa is coming back.
I picked it up recently, but only read the campaign rules. I really need to catch up on all my fluff reading
from what I can recall a bunch of the fluff is covered in the newer versions of the books of course. I think original Campaign Paradiso included a little more background on some of the odds and ends around Tohaa culture and stuff like the voorne.
