Hi! New player, barely played 2 games, but already I'm sucked in deep in terms of minis. This will be my thread to motivate me to actually paint them all. In turns out red veil wasn't enough! I am in shock, and constantly ordering another something-something I put in a list. First up is Tarik Mansuri. This was not the first mini I painted, but its the one that got the most tender love and care so far. Tried out OSL, pretty happy with the result, but I am really debating the colour of Tarik's turban. Want to maybe change it to yellow (and the same for the khawarij. Next up is the Al Fasid and the 3 ghulams from red veil. Really happy with the freehand on the Al fasids chest. Odalisque, ayyar and tuareg. 2 cool models I probably won't use much, and the tuareg that I will use. And finally, the zhayedan, the hunzakuts and the khawarij. Again cool models and I will probably mostly use the hunzakuts. I really want to use the zhayedan tho, just because the models are cool. And on my table right now are assembled rems, 4 naffatuns, 4 mutts and a barid. Some more minis still in blisters. Gotta keep paining!
Thanks! It was a fun challenge going for a diversity of skintones, I really didn't have the miniatures suited for it before. And and also pretty happy with the pinkish noses. Gives them a nice glow imo.
Update! One janissarie done, and working on some mutts. Also got some time to try out some foam board building to to prototype the terrain. Pretty basic but I like it.
Yea didn't think of that! He is brave and noble, even if he's just a buff to a mediocre unit. Thanks :)
Thanks, and some more minis! First up i finished some remotes. Tried some more OSL with Al Djabel. It looks less cluttered irl tho, not meant for closeups :D And lastly I did opt to change the color of the turbans from red to yellow. Pleased with it.
Fiiinally got around to painting some more haqqislam. I finished the maggy after looking at if for 6 months, and finally got around to finishing the naffatun. Now onto the khawarij and namurr sitting on my desk.
Thanks! Fun model to paint, but I don't have the biceps to keep it steady for long. Still considering adding some yellow somewhere, feel like I went a bit safe on the scheme.
Ha, der Maghariba ist einfach ein großartiges Modell. Und super bemalt! Ist er eigentlich auch eine gute Einheit? Ich kenne mich noch viel zu wenig im taktischen Bereich von Infinity aus. Ha, the Maghariba is simply a great model. And your painting is excellent! Is it a good unit too? I don't know enough about the tactical aspect of Infinity yet.
Danke! :D I don't really know how good it is, I mostly bought it for the option, and because I love ghost in a shell. When I try to put it in a list I usually find that it doesn't want to do what the rest of my list wants to do.
no is bad unless N4 change things - Macarana is just to big and do not fit betwen terrain and you may forget about total cover it will stick always somewer but mini is nice but i still think CB shoud cast this in resin or just plastic model as this weight a way a lot
Yeah, TAGs (anything huge, really) should be resin, or resin+metal, like vehicles for other wargames. Less weight, good details, and viable for small production.
More minis! I really hope that N4 makes me want to bring the namurr in a list. My two khawarij. I really love the M12 profile. Some al hawwa. And finally a farzan.
