    Gday guys

So I took CHA to Burn City Brawl over the weekend and was lucky enough to get the win.

BCB was a 40 player event, 5 rounds over 2 days.
    Missions were:
    Transmission matrix
    Acquisition
    Unmasking
    Quadrant control
    Annihilation

So my standard list was as follows which I took to four of the five missions (unmasking subbed out for extra specialists but was really similar)

    Open in Infinity Army

So a few things about the weekend I really want to touch on.

    1. There's been a trend of late to some pretty drastic hyperbole when it comes to new armies and their strength (Oss,vird,Tak and dashat are the ones that spring to mind)
When I decided on CHA, I did so mainly because they were painted... But there was a competitive motivation to it too. With all the new armies in the spotlight people were very aware and ready to deal with them. But so many of the other armies are just as effective but without players ready to respond to them in the same way. Going Into the event I had planned how I was going to handle the current meta hotness and I'm sure other players had too.

    2. Coordinating effective offensive units: Almost no one saw it coming, and I think in this day of superior aro fireteams it's something worth considering. The Wallace coord order with the three long range guns got work done in every game. The thing I see is people don't like the chance of losing one of their models, which is likely when you coordinate. You commonly lose the model they ftf but you remove the threat too. The thing is, it's worth it. In two of my games I removed Linked bolt snipers and whilst I risked losing one in ftf I just needed the link bonuses dropped and I didn't want to waste orders mucking around. The ability with. Lord orders to just trade so your close units can effectively and quickly move is worth losing a model, which out of all my games only happened once. There's plenty of armies that do it with even less risk. Coordinating 4 daylami panzerfaust is absolutely worth doing against the superior aros out there. Don't forget you can't split burst in Aro, which means you are pushing lots of normal rolls.

3.CHA more than the last few armies I have played seemed to be more vulnerable to failing the LT roll. For example in zone missions I found it much easier getting deployment and going second. With lots of cheap models it's easy when you go first to have an opponent just outpoint you particularly with camo. I was lucky enough on day one to win the LT rolls which definitely felt way more comfortable than day two where I failed both.
    4. CHA feels way better than I expected not going first. Alot of that could be how I wrote my list.
    5. Spiral is such a great army, that I don't hear many people talking about. They are so great at influencing how you deploy.

Any questions about the event let me know !

    Congrats on the win.

During your reactive, did you ever slot Wallace into the 'core highlander' link? Also, did you ever feel at risk of CHA 'self-imploding' due to all the extremely impetuous orders (given - extremely cheap + regular) come turn 3/late turn 2?

Also, what role did Uxia play in CHA - did she bust out of camo more to claim objectives given that you've got the regular McMurrough (group 2) and single Higlander in Group 1 or was she still that one-use engine of destruction for active turns?

Uxia is the one piece I find very polarising. Some games she had an opening and she took it to gut an opponent, other games she sat around doing very little as there wasn't an opening. In those games she pushed a button and that was about it.. I never core linked Wallace but I was always thinking about it. Essentially of I thought they were going to assassinate and the core link would prevent that, I'd have linked. But I'd prefer the gals spread out. You kinda hit the nail on the head with gals imploding in cha. In cha gals and warcors are no longer in expendable. Which honestly is great. What it means, is you have to treat them as units you'd like to keep, so I'm less aggressive with them in general. If there's an easy line to chain rifle people or to berserk I will. But it's not a throw away unit so I think long and hard before doing that. Also I found in alot of my games I'd spend multiple orders just positioning. People wisely tend to keep their head down against cha, so I tended to spend first turn pushing all my chain rifles into spots where they couldn't be seen until the opponent was within 8 inches. They become ticks turn one. They either get dug out or they start turn two in position to make a run and swarm an opponent. Almost without question the goal of my coord turn one was to remove aros that would hold up all my short range. I'd traditionally lose one but it was worth it to give the short range units unfettered access to an opponent's vulnerable models.

    Congrats on the win.

How do you feel your tactics with CHA differ or have developed from @daboarder's when he was quite dominant with them a few years back (and wrote a nice guide in the sticky section)? The game has developed a little since then I guess.

What factions did you face? I think Spiral and maybe NCA or FOCO with Bolt Snipers?

    Did anyone go for Wallace?
