Jammer Mine already exists. It's called an E/Mauler.

And it's better than a Jammer since it is actual E/M and doesn't just isolate the target.

Well, it's doesn't reach through the walls :P
Granted, on a single-use dumbfire mine this isn't necessarily a downside...

Im sure this was suggested somewhere in these nine pages, but I want Fire Mines. The gameplay implications are huge and it would be such a delightful thing to bring against Tohaa, Phalanx, or NCA.

Yup, it was. And it would be a nice thing to have.

I'd also like to see E/Mitter getting a rework. I'd like it to be basically a Light Shotgun that uses E/M ammo.

I was surprised I went through nine pages of thread and didn't find my idea:

Cryogenic ammunition. A type of ammunition that shoots out extreme low temperature pellets that give a chance to flash freeze targets

Put it on some sort of rifle as a special ammunition and make it DMG 13 but also causing a special IMM-2 state that lasts at most two turns (it melts off). Something around the lines of a N+E/M weapon against a HI/REM/TAG, but without being limited to them. Making a N damage roll and a BTS roll that if failed causes the temporary IMM-2 effect. Basically something that doesn't have much additional effect on normal units, but has a chance to slow down heavy hitters. It's of course an IMM state that can be fixed by engineers. Perhaps categorize it to a Bio-munitions category so as to keep bio-immunity relevant.

    So something like this:

    Name:
    CRYO Rifle
    Range:
    Short: 0-8" +0
    Medium: 8-16" +3
    Long: 16-32" -3
    Maximum: 32-48" -6
    DAM: 13
    B: 3
    Ammo: N+CRYO
    Traits: Suppressive Fire

I like the Push Ammo idea. Some sort of concussive shot that would knock people and bots away from the roof corner seems needed IMO.

I like the deployable turret idea, but I don't think such a think should be full suppressive fire (or at least that kind of thing would be prohibitively expensive). And deploying equipment's kind of tricky as it is. I would say it should be Burst 1, or at most Burst 2 like enhanced reaction.

the BEST part would be if vanilla got them first, due to the EI just knowing. like the best Morat engineers are working on this stuff for years and the EI just starts distributing it to Unidrons as if it were nothing. They could even name the gun after the planet the EI blew up. just to send a message to the Apes.

So this is pretty much exactly and ADHL. Same range band, same effect, but now with more burst and suppressive fire. Not trying to poo all over your idea I promise. I do think the Adhesive special ammo kinda covers this effect as things that truelly need to be put in an IMM-2 state usually have decent BTS (thinking TAGS and HI) so can more likely shrug off these kind of hits whereas the ADHL is a PH-6 which applies good effect to every target regardless of BTS.

Perhaps a Cryo or Freeze ammo should be more akin to an exotic variant of Flame, with the ability to act as a deactivator (freezing the device solid) or be treated as a comms attack too?

Maybe grenade variants could cause an area of low visibility thanks to the fogging effect?

A viral rocket launcher sounds extra war crimey.

    So naturally I like it.

What if the Gorgos had their weapon replaced with a Viral Spitfire? (And probably a slight increase in points.)

Although it would be extremely good for massive Light Infantry killing, the current Spitfire AP is good against high AMR targets, something Tohaa is not good at.

Hm. Maybe I screwed up some calculations, but here it is...

On a successful normal hit you will have 35-45% to wound a target in cover with an AP Spitfire depending on what it is (ARM 4 to 8), for similar targets (BTS 6 on average) Viral will inflict at least a single wound in ~44% of cases. Even for Jotum it will be 30% vs ~27%. Then there's a small chance to deal two wounds as well.

Avatar is an asshole though. And hitting something like Unidron link with Viral is also suboptimal.

But still, Dam 14 weapon doesn't react to ARM/BTS differences as badly. If you want an example of the opposite, that's probably something like hitting Interventor (ARM 1 BTS 9) with either DAM 12 Viral or Dam 11 Shock. In that case yeah, you're looking at non-negligible difference.

Morat's need a proper hunting "dog". Something that's not afraid of our women. I'm thinking around S8 to show a Maggy who's boss.

Would love to see some of the rpg elements make it to Infinity. Like Dancer, Banshee, Oneiros and Phobetor ammo.

Banshee Ammo emits phased waves of infrared sound to overload auditory and vestibular systems. Its an arew weapon, while Phobetor is a mix of psychoactive and infrared projectors designed to cause hallucinations.

    Oh, I like hallucinations.

What about some weapon that causes the unit to be put a new "Hallucinating" state, where he may ARO both to ally and hostile actions, and must always ARO with a BS attack (or CC if engaged) to represent someone firing their gun in panic at any perceived movement.
