Obviously this list is built around the Sogarat, I just want to see him in action :) Both Link Teams cover one console and the Zerat the third one. Sogarat will be the Data Tracker, he should be survivable enough. A report how it worked will follow.

So both games done and won gloriously, even though a lot of crits were involved to shorten the second one. Reports will follow, but as it is 1 am at my place it is about time to go to sleep. Reports will follow tomorrow or the day after. I just drop the list for the second game beforehand, don´t wonder it was a 600 point, custom scenario. I´ll explain it in the report ^^

Sounds like a fun match. I personally would love to try something like this with someone. Did the game last much longer than normal?

@Golem2God the game was planned for 5 rounds, but did not last that long unfortunately.

As you asked I start with the discussion of the 600 point one. The idea was an assault on a Human city. We knew we would be three players and so I build a custom scenario. The MAF were the attackers and in this case IA and PanO were defenders.
It was an asymmetric scenario with different winning conditions. As we did not want to crwod the 4x4 table too much half of the armies were in reserve. That means that onla half of the points (max. 310 MAF, Max 155 respectively IA/PanO) were initally deployed. The MAF LT had to be on the field, the defenders needed to have one, of which side was irrelevant. At the end of the second round all non-deployed models move onto the board with their first MOV value. Without provoking AROs. AD might be used for free as well, but here AROs were normal.

Here a picture of the board: [IMG]
There were 5 Civilians up to three inches from the middle towards the attackers DZ (yellow circles). The attackers gets OP for Killing models (like in Annihilation, sized up for the points), killing the Data Trackers of the Defender, keeping his LT alive, capturing civilians either synchronized or in CaseEvac and from 2 Extreme Classifieds. Max. 21 OP

Defenders get points for surviving troops (less points needed than to kill for the attacker), Killing the enemy LT, completing Data Scans with their Data Tracker, evacuating civilains to their DZ (up to 15 points possible) and 2 normal classifieds, but -1 point for every killed civilan. Attacker may attack Civilains (because CA). Max 25 OP (- 5 possible)

Civilians are neutral until the first one is synchronized or hurt, then they become hostile towards the attacker.

Defender automatically wins Initiative. A full report will follow, but here is the short version:

They decided to give me the first turn, even though I asked them twice, if they really want that and told them that the scenario is designed for a defender first turn. They had 2 TR Bots, a Rui Shi, a Nisse Sniper, a Regular Sniper and a HaiDao Sniper in Overwatch though.

Problem was in my first turn I chewed through all three snipers and the Rui Shi in one on one confrontations and blocked the TR bots with smoke. Even though I failed to synchronize the Civilian with Kornak. It looked bad for them in their first round, as I only left one model to shoot at (linked Suryat HMG). It died, but otherwise the had not enough orders to advance to accomplish anything.
In my second turn, I failed three more attempts to snychronize a Civilian, then switched models to do it and brought one to my DZ. I also killed an TR Bot through smoke.

In their second turn a Swiss Guard made a run for my line and wanted to gun down my Q-Drone and my LT. The Swiss ate a double crit in ARO by the Plasma Rifle of the Drone... Then they conceded, before we started the third round, as they had almost nothing left, I had lost 1 model and was way ahead on points.

So we did not really put the scenario to the final test [and my Raicho did not have screen time :( ], but with a defenders first turn in which to secure the first civilian (thus turning all of them hostile to the attacker) it should work.

Back to the first game. With this list:

Here is the narrative report by the way:
    https://thoughtsandswords.wordpress...kampfgruppe-freitag-der-13-maf-battle-report/

So in this game I made some mistakes and had some luck to cut it short as well. I also want to talk about some models which worked well for me and which did not.
My linked Suryat HMG in the Vanguard link was good, even though I wasted him. He had a shootout with a Guijia, a TR Remote and a linked HaiDao Sniper at once. He destroyed the TR, wounded the Guijia and took a crit from the Sniper and went unconscious. Then he died from the Medic...
Then it was Sogarat time, this beast is awesome. He obliterated the Sniper and Tai Sheng, whom my opponent foolishly left open to attack, and I left him in the open, which was dumb. Yet I needed the orders to press buttons to reveal HVTs (or fail at pressing buttons, which also happened)

He came after me with his Guijia and the Sogarat tanked several hits in the open (even though in hindsight we did forget about Fatality and the Sogarat would have gone down, my bad).

I actually never used the Sogarat in the second turn, but still that was not good. After a second pressed button my Daturazi smoked his way to the Guijia, behind which the Designated Target hid. I made an Intuitive attack from within the smoke, which killed the Guijia, but the HVT tanked it. The Daturazi then lopped his head of in CC while surviving the full burst of the TR Remote (which had been repaired using three Command tokens!).

At this point his Data Tracker was down, I had killed his Designated Target and he had not pressed a single button. So his DaoYing LT wanted to do that. He changed his mind as I told him that the console is in range of my Hacker and my Killer Hacker. I advised trying only to fight one of them at a time. So he went for the Vanguard Hacker with Brain Blast and I survived the hit, he did it again I survived again, he tried again and I crit him with Sucker Punch. We stopped there. He was in LoL had only one specialist left and I had lost 2 models (3 counting the Sogarat)

So some luck involved, but his list was not well equipped for the mission and he had some serious positioning errors. We talked it through afterwards. Next time he´ll come better prepared. So not much to learn for me from this though. Let´s recap:

Suryat HMG in Vanguards is gold, opens enough orders to do stuff, without needing a full HI link. (No Surprise here)
Anyat in the Link is also gold, reliable smoke and a specialist, will be hard to not use her.
The Vanguard Hacker made a better play than I anticipated, the Sucker Punch can be really hurtful to the opponent. Vanguards really rose in my appreciation.
Medics are crap though ;) Thought that before, still think that. (Okay I started this game with Haqq...)
The Zerat Killer Hacker did not move the whole game, but was a super deterrent, will apply her more often.
The Sogarat Full Auto guy is just as mean a murder machine as you might think, love him.
Daturazi are way too cheap for what they do ^^

    That´s it for today.

There's a small point I want to bring up on this list: Kornak already has the Haris Skill, you don't need a Suryat with the Haris profile to form a fireteam. I think Using the Heavy Rocket launcher here might have been even better. Than being said, this is a pretty awesome list.

@DaRedOne I am aware of that. The reason for this is that Kornak and the Ikadron were the only two of group two to start on the board. The rest would move in as reserve and like this I could bring in a Haris and then see what Link I want to build with Kornak and the Raktorak. Possibly using the Raktorak to refill gaps in the Vanguard team or bringing in one of the Suryats there. So it was just for the options. And I haf the SWC to spare ^^

So some follow-up on the 600 points is still missing.

I added a report here: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/asreons-assembled-assaults-battle-report-compilation.26452/ direct link here: https://thoughtsandswords.wordpress...mpfgruppe-freitag-der-13-maf-battle-report-2/

It already was summep up three posts ago so just some rundown of involved tactics and events.
With 2 TR Remotes, A Ruhi Shi, A Haidao, Regular and Nisse HMG they did build a really tough defensive bastion. I just did not have to crack it completely. I was able to attack them all one by one thanks to positioning and well thrown smoke grenades. When I left nothing for them to shoot at, they were stuck in their bunker and could not harm me. This made the game somewhat dull as they could not generate any traction against my attacks, and then it was cut short by 2 crits from the Q-Drone. So not much to learn for me from this game, more for them though. So what did I learn:

Zerat Red Fury, she did really, really well. Some luck in removing the Nisse on the first attack and then running away with the civilian. I really have to look closer into the Zerat, I underrated them I think.
Anyat and the Daturazi - still to cheap for their capabilites, well done. Smoke is a really big part of MAF as I begin to realise.
Yaogat Sniper - With smoke comes MSV 2, so they say, true in this game, did really solid work.
Q-Drone - I left it stranded and without assisted fire, but still won the day, pretty lucky strike though. I will employ the Plasma variant more often in the future.
Krakot - did nothing, so nothing to report.

    I will keep you updated.

Here a picture of the table[IMG] [IMG]
I deployed on the green side, he turtled his MB Link Team in the back and the Wildcat HRL was on ARO duty and basically won him the game in the first FtF roll. How so? My Sogarat attacks her, she crits and I fail two more saves. First attack in the game and my most expensive, very tough PH 15 Automedikit is just dead. He also was my point man and main attack piece. Great! I had to eat some chocolate after that.
The Hungries got to work and took out the Wildcat and were an annoyance. The Vanguard link then ran across the table and reduced his Brigada Team to 4 members.
In his turn, I succeed basicall no roll and my two Raktorak, my Hacker, Suryat LT and one Gaki go down. Only the Medic crits the Spec OP in his final order, the only good roll for me.
I could revive the Suryat only to have him die to ARO directly again, at least my Preta took out both Wildcats.
He positoned and shot down the Oznat in his, also doing his classified.
My Daturazi is awesome again and takes down the MB HMG and the Daktari, but is killed, at least I do my classified.
He just mops up some more points and it ends 9 - 2 for him.

Not a good day for the Supremacy. We both had crits, but none was so important than the first one, but otherwise he generally outrolled my in almost every FtF and saved a lot, while I failed several arm rolls by just 1 point. I was somewhat frustrated to be honest. I did some positioing mistakes with my Raktorak and Hungries - that is on me, but most plans just did not work.
He played a good game, with few mistakes so he deserved to win. I just wished it had be on more even terms :(

    So what did we learn?

Daturazi - still Mr. awesome, great job, still too cheap
Hungries - very scary, but hard to use. I did some decent damage, but also made decent positioning mistakes, which he punished nicely.
Sogarat Full Auto - crits are crits, I still love this guy, but this time he cost me the game by just rolling two times below 10 (for his armour saves)
Suryat HMG - decent, he is not culpable for a load of made saves by the opponents models, also he tanked some hits, just not the most important one
Ikadron - Flash Pulse is really powerful sometimes, they are really versatile for their points.
Raktorak - have to position them better, they both died to bad ones. The are squishier than one likes, still not using their full potential.
Medic - 50 : 50 Kill, revive ratio, still not sold on them.

In general: Smoke again was a big part of my game, I dread the day he fields the five Intruders. I am becoming better at using it, but there still is alot to learn there for me.
I spent 4 orders repositiong my link to attack from a better angle, seems drastic, but it basically worked. Sometimes a new angle is better than an direct attack. Morat are well suited to improvise from another angle, forcing your way does not always work. My army had the tools to come back from the dead Sogarat, I just need to apply them better next time. Postioning mistakes can be very costly with Morat, as you generally have no tricks in the bag to recover from them.

So I am thrilled for the next game. Also I have to paint more Yaogat.

So today a game is scheduled for today. It will be the second game and scenario of the Daedalus campaign. He bought better promotion rolls as well as bonus SWC and has 2 XP left, which he might put into the Spec ops. I bought +3 Initiative roll with my 2 XP and was promoted.
Not completely sure, but this will probably my list:

So the game went down and I used the aforementioned list.
    We played on this table:
The DZ´s are red, the green marks the Risky Area, where you could infiltrate one model with a WIP roll. The AC2 are yellow and the other consoles are in pink. All walls are infinitely high, as we are in a spacestation. I won the Initiative and took first turn.

    This was his list:

I started out badly by moving one of the Preta first instead of the Daturazi to smoke the way, the Preta died, the Daturazi whiffed smoke on a twenty and my Oznat died only taking down the Spec-Op. At least my second Preta dodged against the Moran. After my impetious was done I was not happy.
Yet, from there on basically everything worked. The Zerat killed the Moran, allowing my last Preta to trade with the Bandit in my DZ. The Yaogat Spitfire took down an Intruder and a Wildcat with crits and good hits, allowing the Krakot to go in an Chain Rifle his second Intruder, a Jaguar and the HRL Wildcat. The Intruder lived, as did the Wildcat, but tha Krakot survived the Chain Rifle and threatened the whole link basically.

In his first turn, he was down to 8 orders over two groups, so he burned all Command Tokens to fuel a Rambo run of the second Bandit on my AC2, he took down the Q-Drone and put all three D-Charges on the AC2, doing 2 Damage (I saved well).

In my second the Daturazi ran back, killed the Bandit and also did my In Extremis Recovery on the Corpse. My Rasyat dropped right next to the AC2 with a 15 (thanks EVO!) and used 6 orders to kill it (the D-Charges did 2 wounds, he saved just as good as I did), putting me in the lead. The Krakot also downed the HRL Wildcat and his Lt, before going down to a hit.

In his 2nd turn the had 5 models and was in LoL, he managed to kill my LT (who was on ARO duty) and lost the Intruder to the Spitfire Yaogat, then revived the Intruder with the Daktari, but lost his last Wildcat in a Shotgun Duel with the Rasyat.

In my 3rd turn, the Rasyat lopped Intruders head off in CC, putting him squarely in Retreat. [IMG]
My Kurgat failed to activate the console and so did his Moran with his one order he could spend on him in his turn. So it ended in a solid 7-2 for Morat. Well done folks:)

    So what did we learn:
I realise more and more how important smoke and impetious troops are to the MAF. I wasted a Preta and the Oznat, but the extra orders and mobility are a HUGE deal for the trickless Morat. The Yaogat played ball on top of that, using this synergy very well.
The lack of heavy weapons was not a problem and I would have had enough good CC to remove a TAG or something.
One Q-Drone guarding the AC2 was not enough, I should have put down some mines to slow a Rambo.

    Units:
Zerat - Red Fury - She has had 2 games and in both she overperformed, so far she hasn´t failed a roll. That will not keep up, but I mirror @DaRedOne s sentiment, she is a big problem solver.

Daturazi - CR - I took him for the DA CCW as backup smasher, but the CR actually was usefull to kill the Bandit without losing the Daturazi. The smoke was golden as always.

Raktorak NCO - I like this guy more and more. You generally will have Raktoraks anyway and when not fielding Kornak the extra order is really good, even if pretty situational.

Rasyat - Last game was done before he showed up, but he rocked as anticipated. He destroyed the AC2 and put him in retreat without getting a scratch. What more do you want? I am really considering converting a second one.

Krakot - 2 CR - He was in a good position and under cover from his comrades he brought hell with his 6-4 move. When I rolled it I thought. meeh, Climbing Plus on a table with no roofs. But the extra move brought him into better spots to attack and enabled a long cautious move to a better attack position. He did really well.

Yaogat - Spitfire - He was a star. Starting upfield and with the smoke cover he wrecked face. He did roll three crits though (also finally ending my streak of my Morat getting a crit in the face in the first FtF roll in the game ^^), so he overperformed. I used to think this profile crap, but it is actually very viable, especially in a forward link team.

Oznat - Misused her as homing missile, could have worked. Will utilize as a speed bump and on sensor duty in the future.

Preta - I misused the one, the other one did exactly what he was supposed to. I start to see their utility as guards and skirmishers. I just have to get the smoke right.

Drones - Nothing to report, no real action, except dying to an attack and providing Drop Support.

Kurgat - Whiffed an WIP (happens) and put down a mine, that´s all, so nothing to report.

Ikadron - Was there. Looked good.

So I am looking forward the next game. I put my XP into a minelaying Morat doctor by the way:)

Short report – Firefight vs IA

So after some time I finally got to field my Morat again. Sadly there are no pictures as it was our first go with the Tabletop Simulator. I went with a rather risky list:

I won the Lt roll and opted for first turn. He made two serious deployment mistakes. First his Dayoying was visible and the TR-bot could not see my frontline.

So I started fluffed the smoke with the Daturazi, gave him an order to do it again and noticed he stood badly and the smoke was useless. My Raicho dueled with his Rui Shi and Yan Huo simultaneously, I got hit by the Rui Shi and the Yan Huo had a crit… I saved all three remaining hits and did it again. This time Rui Shi and Raicho both rolled a 9 and I crit the Yan Huo and hit him 2 more times. He failed one save and was down.

The Yaogat advanced to a panoply and discovered, then gunned down his Lt. The Raicho then got another order and took out the Rui Shi. So far a good game and the end of my sensible decisions. As my turn ended I coordinated some movement during which I tried to repair the damage to the Raicho. I failed the roll and now was down 2 wounds instead of 1, great. Also he was in a bad position.

His turn. With only four orders he had a go at the Raicho with his Mowang, he won the first FtF and I failed the one save. He proceeded to remove the Raicho with another order. The HaiDao advanced towards the central Panoply. Then his first Liu Xing came down and put my Hacker unconscious, but was blinded by a long range Flash Pulse from the Ikadron and was engaged by the nearby Daturazi – Nice. The second Liu Xing hit the Yaogat and put the Raktorak unconscious, but he ate a Panzerfaust from my Lt for it and failed all three saves.

Due to my stupid play in the first turn I was on the backfoot, so first the Daturazi smashed the Liu Xing in CC with his impetious, some good luck here. Dr. Worm revived the Hacker and the Raktorak and the Raktorak took a Multi Sniper from the Panoply. Then I became stupid again and advanced the Daturazi and the Ikadron towards the Hai Dao. Which left the Daturazi close to his new Lt, but in an open position. Also I tried to attack the Hai Dao with my Ikadron, but was out of range, and got him wasted in return. Really bad decision, number 3 here.

So he again was on four orders and managed to kill my Daturaazi, and the Yaogat Spitfire I put on extra ARO duty. Also his Lt got a Flamethrower.

Turn 3 time for the Rasyat to save the day. I wanted him to land next to his EVO in order to kill it, and maybe get a classified (I had Predaotor and Extreme Prejudice), so what happened I rolled the only number on a d20 on which I disperse the damned 20! At least he was out of sight and got to plunder a Panoply. I tried to repair the Ikadron, but killed him too instead. Game Over.

We did not go through with his final turn, as he already was in lead with kills in points and specialists and easily could do a classified and my Data Tracker was dead. He could not reach my Lt and did not have the orders to plunder enough to get on par.

So a clear loss for the Morat. What went wrong?

Failing both repair rolls on 13 and the Air Drop on 20 stand out as decisive bad rolls. Any of them would have made a big difference in the game and I might have been able to turn it around. But my really bad decisions are much more to blame:

1 – I overexposed the Raicho, stupid, stupid play.

2 - I tried to repair it without being down, 65% chance is decent but no save bet, bad timing here.

3 – The Daturazi was badly placed so his smoke was not very useful, also doing a half-heartedly rush to his line was dumb. Go through with it, or don´t do it, not half-assed.

4 – Losing the Ikadron to a not thought through attack was equally dumb. Playing online didn´t help, as I can not estimate distances on the screen, yet.

From 1 or 2 of these mistakes probably could have recovered, but not all of them. Still the Rasyat might have saved everything with his backline attack. My opponent had a horrible deployment but he made no play mistakes after that. He punished mine and was rewarded for it. As it should be.

    So the unit breakdown:

Yaogat Lt – decent, did not do much, one good ARO and with the NCO always actice.

Yaogat Spitfire – Wrecked face in active turn and was wrecked in reactive, bad placement got him killed. Still really like this profile with a Daturazi around.

Raktorak NCO – did good, did not fight due to no opportunity, but decent.

Daturazi – badly placed and used, he still smacked down a Liu Xing and put pressure on his new Lt. I still make mistakes with them, but they are sooooo integral and useful for MAF it almost hurts.

Raicho – Lost du stupidity alone otherwise not much to say, killed everything he attacked.

    Rasyat – No comment ☹

Ikadron – still awesome, really bad usage got him destroyed.

Kurgat – Basically killed my Raicho and the Ikadron, so really bad day, still I think he is a good back-up engineer.

Dr. Worm – Nothing to add to common knowledge, did his job, did it well.

Vanguard Hacker – was there for Assisted Jump, did that.

    Enough for today. CY.

He won the roll and took deployment, I opted for first turn then, as my DZs were pretty open and I felt I could not defend well, here is the deployment.

    Morat 1

He reduced group 2 and I started with my Daturazi, putting some smoke. Then the link activated. The Hungries advanced and the Oznat was shot by the Wildcat with Spitfire, but tanked the hit. That was lucky. Moving forward, the Gaki triggered the Crazy Koalas, the Spitfire shot the Oznat again and the Intruder a Preta. One Gaki dodged, one died, the Preta dodged and the Oznat tanked two more hits. Starting really lucky and luck stayed with me. With the Koalas gone my Zerat used the repeater on the Moran to Maestro the Wildcat and the Alquacil at once, The Alquacil passed with a 1, I with a 2, the Wildcat had a 3 and the Zerat an 18, with the +3 from the scenario that was a hit. Both Hackers went down, what an effective order.

To ensure my supremacy, the Daktari had to go. So The Daturazi smoked the way, the Hacker put up assisted fire and it ran over to shot the doctor, while doing that it was just outside the 32 max range of the scenario and thusly escaped the HRL Wildcat. The Daktari died unsurprisingly.

Breaking the link with the movement the Gaki ran into CC with the Moran and dodged all incoming shots, staying locked in CC at the end of my turn. One Preta ran around the building and chain rifled the HRL and was shot for it, HRL went down as well.

Then my new link stepped in and the Suryat discovered and shot the intruder Sniper in front of him. Then the link positioned for defense and took control of the closest console. Finally the Q-Drone also killed the maybe Wildcat Lt with a crit.

    CJC 1

Down to five orders, boxed in and close to retreat, he was low on options. He wanted to bring in his Hellcat Hacker for his Classified but whiffed the landing. Setting down close to my Q-Drone, he hacked it, then came around to shot it. While it reseted itself, it tanked three hits on 18,18 and 15. Then the Hellcat ran away was hit and tanked the hit on 17 and 19. Lupe had a go at my Suryat with her double Panzerfaust, but we both missed all shots. In a desperate attempt to reach cover the Hellcat fought the Q-Drone one more time and died.

    Morat 2

Wow, 2 turn and my only loses are a Gaki and a Preta so far. The last Gaki attacked the Moran and put him down, He shot into CC, killing the Moran and missing the Gaki. The other Preta ran forward and tried to dodge, but was put dogged by the Intruder. It then pressed on and hit Lupe and the Wildcat Engineer who both saved the hit. The Preta went down. The Gaki ran into CC with the Spitfire and lost exactly one wound on the way, blowing up next to the Wildcat but he saved. Then the Oznat tried, after she hid in smoke during her impetious, she now came out and fired her Shotgun into the Spitfire, she got hit and tanked one more hit. She ran towards his Intruder (whom I knew to be the LT by now) and put two shots into him, she won, but he saved. She went down from Lupes shot though. The Zerat Hacker ran to the antenna and switched it on, then ran back and shot down the Spitfire. The Q-Drone ran into this corner as well and killed the Engineer. Then the Zerat secured the second console.

    CJC 2

In Retreat with 2 models there was not much to do, Lupe got both orders (1 transformed with a Command Token) and had a go at the Zerat Hacker, who dodged with a crit, okay Lupe had missed anyway, due being in 16,3 inches away and hitting on 3s.

So a resounding 9-0 for the Supremacy. Sadly the dice turned this one into a pretty one sided thing. I had a decent plan, but the dice made it a breeze and in turn it was rather frustrating for my opponent. The biggest mistake he made is giving me choice of turn, I have found that Morat more often than not want first turn, in order to deal a crippling strike. His list was not especially strong on the defence, also he put it together with theme in mind and not really the mission. If he would have taken first turn, it would have been difficult for me to find a got defensive position on this board.

I only lost the Hungries and the Oznat, while tabling him, I guess no big mistakes on my part. Still luck really helped out on this one. Which is sad, could have been much more interesting otherwise.

    Unit breakdown:

Yaogat LT – gave his order to the Link and looked bad ass – job well done.

Zerat Red Fury – chilled today, no action, so no comment.

Zerat KHD – She did really good today. Taking down two Hackers in one go was really good. The scenario helped with that though. Switching on the antenna and shooting down one Wildcat on top was the icing. She seems to be a good attack piece. We´ll see how she fares against stronger hacking list one day.

    Kurgat – Stood around.

Spec ops – Was in the link

Raktorak NCO – helped with order efficiency, saw no combat.

    Vanguard – filled the link.

Vanguard Hacker – filled the link and buffed the Q-Drone. Well done, as a oiled machine.

Q-Drone – basically put me in the win, by killing the Daktari, surviving the Hellcat was a huge plus. I grow to like the Plasma Q more and more. Put in the right spot it is more versatile than the HMG one. Especially against enemies who want to get up close, it is a much better line defence. Propably will favour it the HMG in the future.

Suryat HMG Tac aware – He came, discovered and won. He is as awesome as he sounds on paper. Really a good backbone either in defence or in offence, I find it hard to pass him up in list building.

Daturazi – rather uneventful game for him, put smoke for the Q-Drone to advance, stable as always. Still too cheap

Oznat – Nicely held her link in place before it disbanded, lived longer than anticipated, but did no damage herself. Well she doesn´t need too, she has her babies.

Gaki – Cleared Koalas, locked the Moran in CC and almost killed the Spitfire. 8 Points well spent. They dodged well today, but with their PH 14 this is not so rare. Really useful missiles or defenders.

Preta – as above, put their Chain rifles to good use, even though most hits were saved. The opponent has to deal with them. Used patiently they are very dangerous.

    That´s it for today.

    MAF Turn 1

I started with my LT against his Sniper, after the Daturazi blocked the MB ML in respect to the Suryat, misjudging the range (33,25 inch) with my HMG and losing a wound to the Alquacil. The Raicho then moves out and attacks the Jaguar and loses the FtF eating a Panzerfaust...and saves all hits. Next order kills the Jaguar. Then the Raicho goes against the MB ML inside of 24 to negate the range bonus and against the Sniper, the Sniper crits and the Brigada wins. The Raicho saves all. We try this again and I lose against both again, saving all but one hit from the Sniper. Being down two wounds (and having saved 9 hits from Missiles or Panzerfausts!!) I use the LT order to go again at the Sniper, this time I roll belwo seven and put him down. The Raicho then goes only against the MB ML and finally puts it down. Ending on Suppression.

The MB HMG has a go at the Raicho and puts down 7 hits in three orders, which the Raicho all saves(!!!), while the HMG loses a wound.
Lupe has a go but misses with both Panzerfausts. He then advances with the Gecko under the fire from my LT, making his way forward he finally can attack my Hacker and kill him, but he loses the Gecko in the process. Not a good turn for him.

    MAF 2

I can´t close in with the Raicho because of his Hacker, so I put down two mines next to his link and go into suppression nearby again. The Rasyat drops and stabs the Daktari to Death in order to prevent him healing anyone. The Raicho Pilot and FO Zerat also activate both of my Cooling Units.

CJC 2 with 5 models boxed in by mines he has limited options, he goes for the dodge to clear the mines, but the HMG goes down to them, while the Spec-Op saves both. He then has a go at the Raicho with Lupe and the Hacker and the LT, but the Raicho tanks everything and kills Lupe in the process.

We stopped here as I had a third turn with a full army before me and already basically done all objectives. A crushing defeat for the Nomads.
    10 - 0

So what did we learn? I see a tendency of Morat games to be crushing either for them or for the enemy. So far I did not have an even or even close game with Morat. As I get around using them, I feel that they need this heavy blow and go from there. Most of the time there is hardly a coming back for the opponent and when there is one my Morat are in trouble. Which is sad, because it makes for less fun games. I love my Morat but if that is how it rolls...

    Unit breakdown:

Raicho - Mine Dispenser : Love it. The mines are awesome, okay it tanked all in all 23 hits in this game, 9 of them from Anti-Tank Weaponry, I only lost wounds to the Sniper, must have been in the character description Weakness: Sniper. It is a beast and the mines add a lot of utility. Will use it again.

Suryat HMG LT - Did good after his first lost wound. Misjudging the range was not his fault. Very useful LT, when you don´t use Kornak.

Vanguard Hacker - Was there, brought the Ikadron, died.

Spec-Op - Being a doctor allowed my to leave Doc Worm at home and make a link. Nice.

Kurgat - Present, no orders spent.

    Ikadron - see above.

Rasyat - Veni, vidi, vici - did what he was supposed to with ease. There was no chance to employ the E-Mitter, but hey AD is always about opportunies. They add a lot needed mobility to MAF but are horrendrously obvious of course. Being a Morat is not easy.

Daturazi - smoked as ordered, survived. Reliable as always. How do you make a list without them?

Zerat FO - Did an objective and missed with a spec-grenade. Fine so far. No combat.

Zerat Red Fury - Had a day off and posed for the camera, no orders spent.

    CY around.
