Hey all, I have a friend with a good 3D printer and I have a small amount of skill using 3D modeling software. So I’m planning on designing and printing some shoulder mounted panzerfausts to fit on my new N3 Magisters. Since I’ll have the design and it’s really easy to make multiples, would anyone be interested in grabbing a couple? I’ll post some mockups when I’m done with the design.
@MrNailbrain I'm very curious in this. I'd also consider using them to represent the Echo Bravo's light rocket, leaving his hands free for the boarding shotgun.
It’s going to look pretty similar to the N2 Magister bit, if I get my design right. Probably a little chunkier because 3D printing, but overall similar. I’ll give it a test on the EB because that also sounds cool! Although I’m a huge fan of the new LRL model as well.
I’ll be interested in seeing what you come up with. I was considering a conversion using spare MLs from PanO dronbots so this could save me some effort.
This would be my favorite thing ever. But I've got access to 3d printers at school, so if you wouldn't mind sharing the file I could print my own (down here on the south end of the Pacific).
I would love to see your 3d version, Most extrusion printers won't have the detail for infinity models, a decent resin might. But if you are looking for a quick way to make bits try Instant mold (I can't find amazon link), I used it to copy Yan Hoa HRMC on to my Haqq TR remote. Note: If you are trying to do use this stuff, use an alan key as a half frame for you mold. My first attempt had my 2 halves mis-aligned ruining the piece. By keeping the alan key in the mold everything aligns much better. You'll also need a couple small files to sand down the mold lines.
