I suppose. You can go back through the forum posts here and find me and BoW people talking about it. I think it was on this forum at some point, might have been on the old one before it got purged. Not a huge deal, though, since nothing I'm talking about is bad for the integrity of the campaign itself except if people who actually did cheat were punished less harshly.
It would be awfully convenient if all information about a high ranking member cheating in an online campaign disappeared. Very suspicious too...
It absolutely happened. I can't remember the guy's name from 4 years ago either, but the events described occured, and @Hecaton showed us the receipts. If there is absolute proof that someone cheated then yes. That isn't the case here. @AdmiralJCJF got excited and over hyped, posted a place holder report too early and didn't check his images properly in a report with @Vaulsc. That's sloppy and below the usual standards of JCJF, but lets be honest, if his usual standard wasn't so high probably nobody would have noticed and the system would have gone "hey this isn't right" and binned the reports anyway then we'd probably be having a conversation about how the system robbed PanO of a win... It would, but since that hasn't happened here(or in any other case related to the campaigns) I'm not sure if its relevant...
They took it from his cloud storage that he had linked to on facebook and had given out to a lot of players so they had pictures of their games that he set up as a warcor.
My biggest question is, why wasn't this the explanation offered the first time this was brought up, or brought up 4 pages ago in this thread?
Cos I forgot to say it, and I have a feeling that @AdmiralJCJF is tired of explaining one thing only to have more "yeah but" demands made of him. If I wanted to(I don't) , I was given permission from the staff here, ontabletop and JCJF (I haven't asked)I could set out all the facts of this - or at least the ones I'm aware of - and there would still be questions. Let's be honest, a lot of people have already decided that JCJF should be punished for it,and how he should be, because of something else that they didn't like him doing, maybe because he snapped at me when I pointed out the flaws in the wording of the playfair pact, maybe because pano won twice, maybe because he got his name in the fluff, but whatever it is they feel like he deserves it even if he didn't do this because he must have done *something*. The campaign is optional. There isn't really any prize for winning now (though if @Koni and @psychoticstorm want to dish out one for Ariadna from last year we'll take Laika or the RM100 please and thanks) so I really can't see the point of throwing accusations around. Sure the mod team could be more open about their findings, and the actual false reports that were proven beyond a doubt false could have been marked invalid and removed from the scores while the campaign was still ongoing, but it's been a year since. We all need to move on, use the next two weeks to calm down and plan games for the next campaign, get your in character quips memes and retorts ready and just have fun with it.
Hey @cazboab If you have the patience to do it, then you 100% have my backing. And, for what it's worth, I am sorry about how I reacted back when that "pact" was being discussed. That was unfair on my part. (I THINK I had said that before, but it bears repeating anyway) But, yeah. I'm done with it.
As the situation in the Human Edge continues to grow more complex, the PanOceanian Coordinated Command activate the Boomerang Corps and draw on their most elite units to ensure that the Human Sphere will be protected.
Why are there forces concentrating in the Human Edge? What is their connection with the Novyy Bangkok station? How does all this link into the Third Offensive and the fall of the Daedalus Gate? All this, and more, in this glimpse into the Bureau Aegis report on the emerging "Asteroid Blues".
Analysis begins to pour in from the Human Edge, with reports arriving from elite teams deployed to ensure PanOceania maintains the information advantage.
So, AdmiralJCJF is not a cheat. Good News. He is, however, a liar. He is lying about his rank. He is no admiral. He is, or was, just a commodore. Back row, next to Lionel Ritchie, who eventually threw JCJF out of the group for showing him up onstage one time too many. Don't make the frontman look bad, JCJF, it's bad for the career. it's true, because it's on the internet. Is anyone going to play the ASA in this campaign?
