I feel I've asked this before, and maybe I have, but I can't find anywhere in the rules that says I can't despite my whole five minutes of research. That said, the Air Bud Clause is a very poor basis upon which to try this gambit at a tournament, so I figured I should ask the Hive Mind. Am I allowed to bring two proxies? I don't mean two proxy models; the rules are very clear about needing between two to three models to actually run the trooper. But what if I want to run two troopers with all five proxies? For example something like this: Operations Subsection of the S.S.S. ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 1 PROXY Mk.1 Hacker (Hacking Device) Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 14) PROXY Mk.2 MULTI Sniper Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 24) GROUP 2 PROXY Mk.4 Heavy Rocket Launcher, Submachine Gun, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (2 | 20) PROXY Mk.3 Spitfire, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (2 | 21) PROXY Mk.5 (Forward Observer) 2 Submachine Guns, Nanopulser, E/M Grenades / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) 6 SWC | 89 Points Open in Infinity Army Is this legal? And if not, then why? Edit: Special thanks to CSJarrat & Daszul for their responses. The answer is no, this is not legal. Please see proof below.
The 'note' entry in the army builder states that you have to take at least 2, but no more than 3 proxies, and that they have to belong to the same combat group. Entries like these are not about a single trooper, but the AVA in the whole army list. So you can't take 5 proxies in 2 combat groups.
Ah, this must be a consequence of using the Wiki and the Army Mobile app exclusively. Is there a Post Human profile? All I see are the individual unit profiles for each proxy, which while AVA 1, can be taken on their own provided there are no duplicates.
All the Proxies of a G: Jumper trooper must be in the same Combat Group, where they are counted as only one trooper. I'm trying to figure out if I can take two troopers worth of proxies.
Yeah, AVA here is a bit misleading. As I understand it, it covers the trooper's AVA as well as the proxy's AVA.
Yeah the posthuman is what controls the proxies. The posthuman is ava 1, as are each of the proxies. So can't have two lots of proxies in separate groups mate
Alright, I found the answer in the profiles document of the Infinity Downloads. The Posthumans are considered a single unit and have an availability of one. I went ahead and attached the image to this post and edited the above one with the answer. Hello future people who Google this question!
Funnily enough, during al old campaign in Madrid Helllois was asked about the +1 AVA of the development table. It applies to bodies, not to the Posthuman per se (so we were able to deploy 2 mk1 and a mk2, for example, but never exceed 3 proxies on the table). Do note that the Apsaras is another kind of jumper troop entirely XD
