Corregidor is StarCo and Corregidor can take McMurrough. Why can't the mercenary arm of the Nomads take this mercenary? Seems really odd from a fluff perspective. Is there a fluffy reason for this or is it a balance issue?
Probably more to differentiate the two. I already find it impossible to not go either Vanilla or StarCo. when I'm building CJC these days with McBroken being the only thing keeping me there. Were he to show up in SC then why ever bother with CJC? Also he would really outshine other options in the army and given just how stupid good he is lead to list stagnation. We are in a good place at the moment where everything has it's spot and reason to turn up in a list, bring him in and why would I take X Y or Z when I can just apply angry doge to face. it would also have a similar effect on game plans.
Besides potential balance reasons, StarCo is trying to maintain the image of squeaky-clean mercs who perfectly adhere to the Concilium Convention and whatnot. Doesn't McMurrough have some shady stuff in his past? I think I recall hearing that there's something quite illegal about his sword.
He was participating in smuggling some Templar guy out of PanO gripple when got viral shot, that messed with his Dogface biochemistry so he is now forever in his Crinos form. Said templar gave him templar sword with an AI embedded (don't ask what is the use for AI-sword though).
It's worth noting that the Knights Templar were excommunicated for creating their own AIs, whilst most were hunted down, imprisoned, or repented (De Fersen is a former Templar) a few remain out in the wild fringes of space, with some allegedly being sheltered by Tunguska.
Wrong game. But I guess it's okay as long as you refer to Wulvers as Glabros... It's for hacking. Yeah, just wait for next season, when he will have a HD+ as well!
I think this weapon is related to something like spirit inside (hawkmoon or elric are not too far away :D)
The Order the Temple was disbanded because their yearning for advanced quantronic and cyber-warfare systems led to forbidden technology. They were (AI) programming experts. Because they built (and experimented with) AIs they are now considered heretics. It is rumoured that a handful of Templars have been sheltered by the Nomad Nation.
From our local group: – A wolfie, whose sword is smarter than himself – Sword, tell me, what the frack Bob from the accounting does in ZO and near our DZ? (Discover roll) – Dog, are you idiot? Bob is on the sick leave after you've stomped on his foot the day before yesterday! (Success)
If he was a hacker (of any sort) he'd be much more tolerable, since killer hackers could ice him. Giving him a HD+ for no points increase would be a functional downgrade.
*deleted* @Ariwch ist right. I reread the story of McMurrough and misinterpreted it reading it before.
