The difference between winter and summer is whether you freeze your proverbial balls off in 2 minutes or 5 minutes when the central heater breaks down.
Svalarheima is a planet that is mainly occupied by Pan-O, but contested by Yu Jing who keeps a large enough presence there which I think prevents O-12 from recognising it as Pan-O territory. There should be some information about it in the book containing Uprising, considering Huang Di had a fairly significant JSA presence - though I think it was claimed those JSA were organised slightly differently from elsewhere, more integrated in the main force, which is why early speculation on Huang Di had people thinking there would be JSA troops available in it.
Svalarheima Winter Force (PanO) and Huang Di / White Banner (Yu Jing) are not released yet, they are expect to be the next sectorials for each main faction respectively and they are rumoured (with Bostria fanning the flames) to be scheduled to release as a Operation Verb Noun box.

It's one of the dozen "final straws" that made the lore completely unfollowable for me

"rumoured" is a keyword here. Yu Jing recently had an Operation Verb Noun and Ariadna, Aleph and Tohaa hasn't had any Operation Verb Nouns yet. Bostria said he'd like to see Svalarheima vs White Banner box, not that it would happen.

Of course. I read the word rumor.

IHMO we won't see any new Tohaa in the game for many years to come. If every again. Dead, dead, dead.

The newest one, Operation Wildfire, is Shasvastii vs O-12.

That's officially not out until Monday, so his point is technically correct (the best kind of correct!).

To be fair-ish, There's 36 armies and the newest flavor is always the most represented. There was a lot of Aleph, OSS in particular.

I think if it had been Limited Insertion there would have have been a of IA.

From my reading of Uprising, it sounds like the Yellow Banner Army is based on Earth, the Red Banner Army is on Mars, and Green Banner Armies are on Paradiso. I think Orange Banner is Yutang/Shentang, and Black Banner would make sense to be at Human Edge.

Not that I want to tell anyone to read Uprising fluff or read it myself again... :puke:

I hope you're just messing around, but you are pretty new...

Svalarheima is a planet, mostly held by PanO but with a small YJ and JSA population. Svalarheima is the home of the Nisse and Jotum for PanO, and of the Guilang for YJ. PanO and YJ fight pretty hard there, it's disputed territory, more violent than the DMZ on the Korean Peninsula, with border violations going either direction all the time.

The White Banner Army has been rumored to be the example of the 'classic' YJ army style, so most of the old hands like me are expecting lots of 1W troops, with the occasional Tiger, various HI, and Guijia showing up. I'm personally hoping that we get some resculpted Zanshi in cold weather gear. Long coats like the Guilang but with an ushanka fur hat like North Korean troops, maybe some with Marksman rifles instead of combis.

I hope your predictions are wrong, but each to their own, I guess. I don't mind long coats but I've pick YJ for their scifi look, ushanka hats are no-no for me. Let's leave retro outfits and gear to Ariadna.

When I see YJ LI with long coats, I think Guilangs. Let the Zhanshi shiver.

That's actually why I wanted the ushanka instead of helmets.

Zanshi in long coat + helmet = Guilang
Zanshi in long coat + ushanka =/= Guilang

Sorry for the old quote in case this has been addressed, but NCA is the only sectorial who can field Aida Swanson apart from SEF and we were promised an event that would make the Uprising look like “nothing”

It's a bit of a stretch. You can clearly tell apart Guilang from Zanying. Also, even both Daofei and Hsien are HI wearing long coats, I don't think people are confusing those units. We are not PanO after all :grinning:

Ushanka is a very good piece of clothing that is unfashionable not retro. If we see it on Svalarheima troops, it'll be very appropriate. It might not be made from the skin of animals, it might be synthetic and filled with colour-shifting technology, but the overall design is very good at keeping your ears warm when needed and cool when temperatures get closer to hot, so it'll probably be relevant design as a functional piece of clothing for centuries to come.

That said, I hope they don't make sectorial-specific sculpts of units that already have a sculpt. Let us put Ushankas on them Zhanshis if we think their ears are getting blue.
