Just spitballing what we are likely to see over the next year or so in terms of boxes and blisters.

Beyond Box - Cuervo, Betatrooper MR, Omega HMG
Kappa SWC box - HMG, ML, MSR, Hacker
Lynx blister, either the SMR or the plasma
Sirius blisters - BSG we know, probably also a hacker in the future
    Alpha Unit blister
    Cyberghost blister
Lambda blister, just one that will pull double duty
    Epsilon blister - HMG
Betatroopers box - Spitfire, BSG, Hacker, Tinbot
    Omega blister - MR
    Zeta box
    Fuzzbots box
    Copperbots box
Gangbuster blister - combi or hacker
Razor blister - probably a hacker
Varangian Guard box - LSG, Chain Rifle, SMG, axe

That’s 7 boxes and 8 blisters. Anyone have guesses as to what comes first? I’m betting the Beyond box in November, Kappas in the new year, Copperbots or Varangian Guard after that. Sirius should be December then for the BSG in the advance pack, my guess is Lambda or Razor after that. Get the basic army options out first.

    Your thoughts?

I'm mostly just astonished that there's nothing for O-12 in the first two months after their release.

I think there's a Cadmus coming out in October and the Speculo (last month?) as well. These are in addition to Wildfire, obviously.

Tunguska feels you, bro... Tohaa even more.

Also, remember that until Coldfront all Aleph's releases were the Danavas and the Garudas (which are also on YJ...), or that Spiral Corps has gotten 2 blisters since the box release XD

There's supposed to be a sectorial release within a year. Sectorial releases typically means a lot of models being released as well.
As a minor note, I'd not expect Varangians to be a box, I'd expect that to be a single model blister and then done for the foreseeable future, unless the sectorial has them as the base troop.

I want to see the two chain colt Varangian. But more likely I think we'll see the SMG or Chain Rifle ones. Each covers two profiles. Considering how much they are going to get used I think a box would be appropriate. Though I think LSG+Chainrifle makes the Boarding Shotgun version kinda pointless

The Alpha and Lynx are two I want to see as soon as possible. I'm really curious how they are gonna look.

All my enthusiasm for the Zeta is gone. I'll likely use my Reinhardt conversion for it so it finally sees some table time.

Why on Earth would Varagians not get a box????

Lots of warbands get boxes, Morlocks, jaguars, daturazi, Myrmidons... Etc. (Also warband like, mutts, kuang shi).

Varangians are at least as staple to 0-12 as Jags are to Nomads (heck and even have more profiles).

In all honesty I'd prefer a varangians box to a kappa swc box. The swc weapons not being very appealing until some future sectorials let kappa link, until then I don't see much use for swc kappa other than a hacker?

If monks got a box, despite still not having a Sectorial, I imagine VarGuard will also get one.

Some of those warbands aren't warbands ;)

Because Varangians have a limited set of loadouts, are 12+ points each, and can adequately be covered by one single sculpt, and it decreases the number of O-12 releases that are in boxes so there's a chance of getting good model coverage before N4. Also because I don't think CB shares the burgeoning netlisting of the forums that Varangians over Kappa.

While I agree that CB has lest concern for net lists than the forum. What warbands don't come in boxes? (and what units in my post are not warbands? I specifically said mutts and kuang shi were warband like, not that they were warbands, but that they fill that role?)

CB I'm pretty sure recognizes the warbands fulfill an important role in D zone defense and recognizes that you fairly frequently see multiples of them.

I also agree that we're more likely to see an SWC box of kapp first, that tends to be the pattern, but that doesn't mean that a varangian box is any less likely?

Huh. That's interesting, Warbands are almost universally in boxes. Oznat, Irmandinhos and Myrmidon Officer seems to be the only ones I can find that aren't in boxes. Even Wulvers are box of 4. (Didn't check NA2 and naturally the large Warband miniatures ends up in boxes since they don't fit in blisters)

More's the pitty CB tends to only slot one or two box per month. Varangian box will likely mean a longer release cycle for O-12.

I think we get almost not new releases before o12. The lack of calendar at the gen con presentation was disturbing. Nothing past December...while i think there will be releases past December I believe cb was warning us it was going to be a slow q1 and q2.
I am betting aegis sectorial aug 2020 with the release of n4. Next years releases slow and steady fill outs and a couple of resculpts to fill out the months.
Having said that maybe a couple of blisters to get us by ....razor, lynx alpha stuff like that

I‘d be very fine with that. If the Interplanetario presentation confirms this, the kitbashing challenge is on

A varangian box would sell like hotcakes
Until then though, they are literally just super-galwegians, fluffwise
