    Hello Guys!

Thinking about to start Shasvasti Sektorial, but wa onder about if it is possible to play them to use them without using Fireteams. (Yes I know I can play Vanilla CA but want to use Gwailos and more than one Cadmus or Caliban) Everytime I make a List it feels so limitating to use a Nox Core, I think it slows down Sheskiin so much and she is even strong whithout the Link Bonus. So is somebody here who have some expirience playing Shas without Fireteam and can share them with me? Also meaning form other people are welcome :-)

I don't have experience specifically with trying Shasvaasti without using link bonuses, but I am sure it is possible to play them without a link and be somewhat effective. I don't think it is optimal, but playable.

If you're having issues maneuvering Sheskiin with a Nox link, I'd recommend trying a Haris with the Gwailo (which you already want to run) and the M-Drone (with Nanoscreen). Then you get what is probably the most important link bonus for Sheskiin (the +1 Burst). The M-drone is as fast as Sheskiin, but the Gwailo is slightly slower. However, since the link is only three models and all of them have Nanoscreen, you should have far less issues with mobility than you might trying to maneuver a Nox link around. Then, if you are in a pinch, you can always just break the link.

If you want a less cumbersome alternative to the nox core, you can field Sheskiin in a haris team, e.g:

SHESKIIN Lieutenant Red Fury, Pulzar, D-Charges / Pistol, DA CCW. (1 | 54)
JAYTH CUTTHROATS (Fireteam: Haris) Submachine Gun, Chain Rifle, E/M Grenades / Pistol, DA CC Weapon, Knife. (0 | 26)
VICTOR MESSER (Hacking Device Plus) Boarding Shotgun, 2 Nanopulser, D-Charges / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 28)

    1.5 SWC | 108 Points

They're still slower than her, but +1 burst, E/M grenades, and a specialist (especially one with white noise) is nothing to sniff at.

Alternately you can just field her as a solo attack piece and still take link teams seperately. They're very strong and there's no reason to forgo them entirely

If you just want to bump Sheskiin's combat abilities up a little bit, you can make a number of 3-member fireatms (core or haris) that will give her extra burst, but not be as tedious to move around the board as a full Nox link.

The two main benefits of a sectorial are fireteams and increased AVA. I think there are enough interesting units (calibans, noctifers, ...) that have significantly increased AVA over vanilla Combined that you can make fun and powerful lists that would not be possible in the generic faction.

Shas were better off without fireteams for a long time (save for old style Gwailos), so having access to Nox is pretty refreshing to me. But you can certainly play them without one. Even so, I think that both Jayth and Gwailo Haris are a good way to go, especially given Wildcards.

Sheskiin, on the other hand, is better off unlinked - and firmly fixing enemy attention on her, so other, more sneaky elements can do their job.

I think it can totally be done without fire teams but if you take Nox anyway you might as well.

Remember though, just because a core can go up to 5, doesn’t mean you have to! Try a small 3-man Nox just to get the Burst bonus.

This is a nice little team just to hold a position and upgrade a remote.

NOX Hacker (EI Hacking Device) Submachine Gun, Zapper / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 17)
    NOX HMG / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 21)
NOX Combi Rifle, Zapper / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 14)

Sheskin dragging along some specialists to smash a button or just chafe to get rid of on her way to murder.

    SHESKIIN Red Fury, Pulzar, D-Charges / Pistol, DA CCW. (1 | 54)
NOX (Forward Observer) Combi Rifle, Zapper / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15)
NOX (Forward Observer) Combi Rifle, Zapper / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15)

Or even a small "Duo" just to be order efficient.

NOX Hacker (EI Hacking Device) Submachine Gun, Zapper / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 17)
NOX Combi Rifle, Zapper / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 14)

    Hello Guys!

Thank you for sharing your ideas and knowlage with me!

Its a good idea to make "small" Cores, but I think I will try the "real" Haris options first. The Jayth-Messer Haris sound pretty good for many missions.

I like the 3 Caliban List form @ijw so much! That what I was thinking about :-D. But also the List from @Redfaint looks very flexibel and have a lot ideas on the first view how I can chance only 1 or 2 options depending on the mission!

This is one of my current go to lists for Shasvastii and it works pretty good for me. If you're interested in adding some Taighas as a tarpit, you probably can switch Malignos for Cadmus KHD or Seed FO.

I play Shas without fireteams pretty much all the time, or if I do have any fireteams, its a Duo or a three-member core or similar. A lot of the best troops in the list are ones that don't want or don't need a fireteam.

I haven’t been able to get in as many games (club was closed, demoing instead), but the first list I want to try only has a signed nox hacker. It looks like several of the posted lists above

I'll be playing against my friend (Nomad, maybe Tunguska) in a casual game of Tic Tac Toe. Thinking about running this linkless list:

The goal is to try and control the midfield / waste his orders with marker state units and Taigha to clear things like crazykoalas. Sheskiin is there for opportunistic murdering.

    I like it!

How do you stop the taighas from running past a camo marker while setting off a template ARO that’ll hit the camo marker?
