There's literally no PanO Red Fury, right? I wonder if a Breaker Combi, or a Spitfire, makes for the best substitute to go into the gap. Or maybe a Shock Marksman off a Japanese arm? (we don't have one of those of our own either, do we?)
I wouldn't completely write off getting a Red Fury EB at a later date considering how fond CB are of drop troopers!
So my thoughts on the new Echo Bravo: My first reaction was 'oh thank fuck, its not the hacker profile'. This said I would have preferred the Red Fury since that is the one I run the most in Varuna (and sometimes vanilla PanO), but the BSG+LRL is definitely not bad. Pose is good but kind of similar to the Kamau HRL. Will definitely buy when it comes out.
@AdmiralJCJF the red fury is a tricky one to convert. As you say, no existing mini. It has the standard PanO reverse mag, but a unique foregrip similar to Patsy's SMG. Everything forward of the receiver is basically unlike any existing PanO weapon. The MULTI Marksman from the Kempetai would look amazing (why oh why don't we have one for PanO yet) but it doesn't look too much like the concept art.
Thanks for taking the time to reply. Makes sense, I suppose I'm just terrified of the LRL fluffing his Burst 2 attack run and getting ganked for his trouble. I suppose it takes an eye for opportunities to get the most of him, a skill that you can only develop with practice. I'll get at least one, he's gorgeous. Maybe even give him a crack to see how he goes. -Cheers!
The LRL/Boarding Shotgun Echo Bravo feels like a table sensitive tool as well. There will be some tables where opponents don't have much choice but to create a delicious target rich environment for him, while on other tables he'll be pointless.
We will also be getting a Red Fury in the Helot box, if they make a model for each of the 4 profiles.
I'm expecting the Helot box to come with the general release Libertos as the 4th man (largely to no-one's satisfaction).
Looks pretty good. I actually like it more from that camera angle. The initial render made it look like he was sighting and firing, but had his head tilted awkwardly because his broad facemask and antennae meant he couldn't be sighting like the Kamau does. This angle makes it clear it's more of an "at rest" pose, rather than an "aiming" pose.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but: this is one of my favourite models EVER! Full of character, I like the EB aesthetic, a proper kneeling pose... love it. Screw "send nudes", just "send EBs"
