I know my aesthetic tastes haven't evolved past middle school because that Hulang is the sickest shit imaginable. I love all of these sculpts so much.
I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who made a sacrifice to the conversion gods. Tai Sheng! XD I didn't expect the Hulang to look so edgelord but I love it.
Wait. Wait.. Wait.... Will we get enough arm options for Mowang double pistol? Also is that a skull/corpse on the Hulang's base?
The Mowang is an armswap, yes. I'm not quite sure what the tactical rock is on the Hulang; it looks like a chest plate but that seems too small to be a head attached.
Seeing as Hulangs are trained thugs, that skull looks fitting even in the uptight Invincible army. Also it looks siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick
Guy on the Hulang's base is a Shas. Mowang looks like the clear winner here, gorgeous sculpt. I'm on the fence about the edgelord Hulang, I'll need to see it all painted up. Either way, it still won't see the table until it gets adjusted anyway. Tai Sheng is alright.
Tai Sheng isn't the best but will be bought lol. Do like the Mowang. Looks solid. The Hulang... give me now. I don't care about his stats or that I'd rather see 2 SMGs. I have to paint that!!
All renders look good. Still I'm not sold on Hulang's skull helmet. Even though they are badass shock troopers, I'd prefer some kind of a old Chinese helmet or mask used as a reference for the design. I think Tiger is a good example. This skull is too generic and it would look good on any space marine chaplain as well. I like the pose though. Also is it me or Mowang is holding the redfury in a strange way? I hate what CB did on hacker Kanren.
I hate to say it but I'm not too hyped about any of these. Hulang looks weird with those knobs on the skull. Looks more like Nomad unit on first glance, verly little Yu Jing about him. I was really hoping for a great Mowang sculpt, but this is just passable. Not a fan of those pistol+main weapon poses and the hatching on parts of the armor, similar to what they did to the Haidao. I might be able to make it work with a bit of converting here and there, but at this point I'll probably not bother buying him at all. Tai Sheng is not terrible, but very bland. At least Patsy had a badass pose and that open faced visor to make her stand out from normal Orcs.
Not entirely sold on the Hulang, looks like something from Rifts. Will definitely buy Tai Sheng and the Mowang, though. Might do a double-pistol conversion on one, or magnetize the arms. Not sure which.
I'm in agreement that sort sort of actual Chinese motifs on the hulang would have been nice. It seems like we havnt had many of those since iss.
On the other hand I am very happy with the mowang. Tai sheng is a bit disappointing but she did have all her good scuplt energy stolen by krit flacid.
Tai Shen looks okay. Kind of meh Hulang body is awesome but the skull head reminds me of GW therefore it's trash. I would have been happier with a beast-like head. Mowang Those roll bars have got to go! He must have something else to see with because those bars are right in his face!
