So, for the first time in a long while I'm going to be rolling out my battle cucumbers for a spin at a tournament. The stated missions are: Acquisition, Firefight, Frostbyte. These lists are what I came up with (not too many differences though, lol). Sukeul ML, GaoRael, Kaeltar triad and Neurocin Chaksa are my ARO presence, with the triad being available to kill some stuff in the active turn, Sukeul HMG, Makaul and Kosuil triad is the go-getter, shooting stuff while delivering the specialist to the objectives. Draal is a midfield presence, ruining opponent's life with Dazer and scoring objectives as well. Rasail is the spearhead, eating shots and clearing the path (also killing stuff probably). In Frostbyte Symbiomated Neema goes Datatracker and controls Exclusion Zone in the end, and in Acquisition she holds the TechCoffin or an antenna. (0 | 13) 6 SWC | 298 Points Open in Infinity Army This list is for Firefight. Have to abuse the DLZ - hence Gao-Tarsos, using AD lv2 to walk out from the edge of the opponent's DZ. Draal goes from free operative to triad 'filler' - and also minelayer, to protect the triad. Kotail is lone ranger, going for flanking shots and Aida is the midfield presence and the dirty looter - two rolls on Booty 2 are too stronk. And the same defensive triad as in List One. Symbiomates probably go to Sukeuls, maybe Sukeul ML and Kotail. Thoughts? Advice? Criticism? All are welcome =)
So mostly I like your lists, Sukeul HMG and Draal is awesome, Kaeltar is still a must have and rasail lt is always a good choice. now to the critic ;) your first list got 3 aro pieces. You really have to position these well if you go second, if the opponent is able to kill them with less than five orders they are bad. Aro Pieces die having 3 in the open means that you could loose 33% of your orders before your first turn starts. The opponent should pay some orders to even get a shot at your aro pieces. Good luck, can't help you to much I am not really a fan of LI lists at least serious ones ;)
You've got a lot of beef in your list. Basically every unit in your lists is a heavy hitter. The problem is, though, that our beefy units are far less beefy than other factions beefy units. I did some research on that subject and I've come to the conclusion that this is due to the fact that Tohaa are, in fact, not beef. They're vegetables. I'm trying to say that I don't think Tohaa are a good Faction to play Limited Insertion Lists with. In my experience, a Rasail Lieutnant often wants almost the entire order pool of a combat group and all of a sudden Neema is nothing more than a regular order for 41 points. If you intent to play LI regardless or the tournament you're competing in uses the LI restriction, then these lists look good, though!
