Good FAQ CB! Thank you so much for paying good attention to fixing things that are unclear. Lots of good rulings in there - especially love the fact that you rethought burst etc bonus for FO. This way really is better.
Thats right I messed up but Impersonators from other fraction work differently against Neema a character. I understand the ruling and a perfect one wouldn't be possible I guess.
From my perspective, a Friday could disguise himself as a Brawler or Monstrucker and not stand out in Spiral Corps because they have a good number of humans in their ranks, but he would stand out like a sore thumb in Vanilla Tohaa as he's not able to mimic an actual alien.
How are fireteams getting a burst bonus on a discover roll in this reversed FAQ? Isn't the +1 Burst only applicable to BS Attacks?
Exactly. From memory, the Fiday is the only trooper with Basic Impersonation, to be affected by this. Everyone else is Inferior Impersonation or Impersonation Plus, where it makes no difference.
BS Weapons, rather than BS Attacks. But yes, Discover is not a BS Weapon and is never described as being equivalent to one.
Correct This really popular Haris fireteam is gone. Despite how it was said all this time the Spanish was an older version. No, but it means Fidays can infiltrate Spiral more effectively, well they chose to have humans among them. Correct this Haris fireteam is no longer possible.
I just want to toss it out that I really appreciate the faqs and take them as a good sign of health in the game. I am running out of bug bears to complain about.
Wow didn't expect that executive order ruling at all. Guess I was playing it wrong. In usariadna I liked dropping in XO van zant, using that LT order right away and go on a suicide charge and have a CoC unknown Ranger tucked away for when VZ died. What's the main use for XO now? Is it just for making LT's harder to find?
You know I really don't know. On the other hand, revealing a Hac Tao via an Alert on the enemy's turn still works fine.
I definitely have *less*. And while I disagree with what they ended up doing with Total Immunity, I'm glad it's at least clear. The change to the Forward Observer + Fireteam situation makes a lot of sense and I'm glad they made that call.
- Your Lt. just went down. You deploy/reveal XO to avoid LoL. - The enemy figured out who your Lt. is, and managed to put troops in position to kill him next turn. You use XO to foil his plans (possibly after he used quite a few orders to close in).
