I still prefer the SNES controller. Fits perfectly in my hand, great response from the buttons, the best direction controller for fighting games...

Or maybe I'm just getting old.

I wouldn't know. My only two consoles have been an atari console (when I was about 13, so that was probably a 5200) and a ps2.
The 90s were my early/mid 20s. I had other things on my mind than playing videogames. :D

That's a bet you'll lose. Go back to your nintendroid.

Between 1988 and 1997, I was otherwise engaged in other pursuits than mere chemical "highs". Yes, chasing skirt and clubbing were 2, but I never needed chemical assistance to do so.

Apparently this is a thing. CD Projekt Red worked with a band called "Refused" to do a whole album as Samurai. :P

If that's part of the soundtrack for the game, the music will be muted if I ever play it).

Reminds me too much of RATM and I couldn't stand them, either.

We already heard that song in the original gameplay when V woke up in her apartment. It was playing over the radio.

Plays game called cyberpunk and it has punk (of which ever variety) music *shrug*

Yeah, and I was never into Punk, either. Go figure.
Was deaf as a child - was more into the visual than the auditory.

ENT surgeon carved new canals for me (I wasn't born with them - inner and outer ear separated by a block of tissue that he had to go through). They're also about an inch longer than "normal" with a dogleg ("hole" in outer is an inch below the tube for the inner). So certain frequencies have a lot more reverb and echo than normal for me and it's worse for some guitar/vocal post effects. The sound bounces around and creates parasitic harmonics. So yeah, I don't enjoy punk. It's just noise to me. Literally.

It's ALSO based off a P&P rpg which DOESN'T have music playing in the background incessantly. I played that for years. Decades, even. Sure you can use a "soundtrack" for the game, but it's either so low in volume so you can talk over it (or pointless), or it's so loud that you can't talk over it and then it's pointless having it as it gets in the way of the game. So there's that.

Went back and listened to it and they are different. I prefer the one from the gameplay segment.

If I remember right, SAMURAI was Jonnhy Silverhand's band (it's been more than a decade since I last rolled a CP2020 dice... sigh...), so it's quite possible this kind of music will be present in the game at several points (specially if you choose Johnny as your hero)

I really don't think Johnny is a playable character, though.
He's a hologram ghost on a chip in V's head. The chip that V boosted with the remote spider but not needed for controlling it. Nothing more. He's been dead for decades. Hence the flicker in his image on the video. He's a guide who will pop up and only you can see him. Call him a fragment of a hologram Johnny.
It's possible he was soulkiller'd just before his meatsack died (and he was pretty much "cut in half" by a full auto, large-calibre burst by a borg (Adam Smasher) wearing a suit of oversized power armour (The DaiOni Demon crab which was designed to be worn by a full conversion). Very doubtful he survived the ortillery strike AND the basement nuke since he was at ground zero. "No body was found" (no bodies are usually found at ground-f**king zero.) is a cop-out.

But yeah, Samurai was the band Johnny was in with Kerry Eurodyne and Bes Isis (who went on to work for net54). When they split, he went solo.

There's a clip from character creation where you choose who your hero was, options included Johnny, Morgan Blackhand, and some others. Now, this wasn't final footage so might not survive to the final product, but it'll be interesting to see what effect it has on the game

Athlon and a 4350 video card doesn't cut that mustard. If it was a horse, I'd take it out back and shoot
    it.

Still have a PS2 that works fine, though. Doesn't need an emulatormabob.
