... just because there is enough other shit to worry about, could you get over CSU Duos already? It has never worked and you've been playing it wrong if you ever thought it was legal. It's also not a big deal and you probably should not Link your corner guards over covering corners more than 8" apart. This is a mistake on your part guys (caused by the usual badly written rules).
@barakiel there's mention of Nagas and Scylla in the remotes section. Probably leftovers from another write up?
I'm not sure why there are references to Naga/Scylla in here, given that I wrote the NCA article before the Acon article... Unless I had a fit of memory loss and decided to randomly edit entries? Unusual. I'll take a look and clean it up, thanks @thirteenpixels Great news about the CSU update too...
He added that inline here: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/the-neoterran-capitaline-army-a-tactica.22784/#post-90579
@barakiel Are you going to try out the new FTO Aquila and give your thoughts on how viable including said unit in a Haris is for NCA?
Once I get past the rush of ITS events during this time of the year, I do plan to try that stuff out. I think the FTO Aquila has some cool things to offer. I'm still wary of that Haris... I'm not sure it's delivering dominant performance relative to its cost... But I think it's completely playable for those that want to use it. And like I mentioned too, I'll try it out and see. My favorite Haris team in NCA right now is just cheap Bolts getting E/M and Bears all over the place.
What i want to know is when NCA gets its reesculpted time, i meant the hexasand the auxilias NEED a reesculpt right now. And i really wanna know if there is some posibility of an Aquila Guard Character, i dont know i think that NCA need some Characters because Bipandra doesnt count
Had a few minutes today, so I added updates for the Bolt revision, Aquila FTO, CSU linkability and Black Friar linkability. I still need to do a little editing/formatting work, but the raw info on those changes is now available in the main article.
One minor comment. You mention Marksmanship on REMs as giving Bolts a chance to use Bioimmunity. However, Marksmanship L1 is optional, so enemy can simply choose not to use it (while still gaining the benefit of ignoring Cover modifier on to hit).
I've been out of the loop for like 5 years and these articles are really useful. I didn't read all the responses, but the Clipper section talks about including a Naga for targeting, as if it was Acontecimento (although the rest of that section talks about NCA). For those who know, is it still worth buying the old Aleph starter for PanO?
you know what role that FTO Aquila is gonna fill really nicely. Data Tracker. Being able to be stuck in a significantly cheaper haris (with a B4/5 weapon able to lead the way up the table) that thing is going to be a real pain in the backside for the opponent to take a run at before it does what it needs to do for the mission (kill a HVT, push a button, hold a box ect) additionally being an FTO means you're going to be able to write lists with the option to stick that guy in a haris or a core pretty readily based on the opponents list/attack vectors
Would say that a 2W HI with SS2 is actually best defence NCA can get (or a TAG on top of a building or so).
@Tobogan Thanks! I'll make an edit. @daboarder I definitely agree. The MULTI Rifle becomes more useful if you know you're going to be advancing your Datatracker and doing work at short range, either knocking down a key enemy piece, going for a Designated Target, trying to hold a console via Suppressive Fire, etc. That's a really nice thought.
