    Taskmaster looks good!

I think I'd want to take the Red Fury TM for a no-SWC big gun in Tunguska. In vanilla Nomads, it's definitely outdone by the Kriza Boracs.

You can also carve plastic card, which is easier for me to do than mess with GS.

Yes, I suppose I should have put the Red Fury arm on, but I was planning to use the HMG model from 2016 for that profile.
I've never used plastic card before, but I would be willing to give it a shot. Where do I get some?

Morlocks! I love using them. I already had two sets of the old box painted up and the one from the new Bakunin starter, so I didn't really need any more. When I found out they were basically clones of the suicide squad, I became even less interested. There was a miniature market sale a few months ago, and I basically got them for half off, so I picked them up anyway. I am glad I did. These are really great sculpts! I had fun painting them. Not sure what I am going to do with 13 Morlocks now, maybe I will make a ridiculous list around them.

Plastic card can be found in any railroad store. You can also sometimes find it in hardware stores, the 'for sale' signs and (other signs). Or you can hit Evergreen styrene on the internet.

I swear I have been painting this whole time! I am back working on Tohaa now that the Spiral Corps box is out. I also took the time to paint up some duplicate Tohaa proper models that I had in order to take advantage of max AVA.

First up, two more Makauls! I was inspired by Borings's 20-order list and I wanted to try more than the four Makauls that came in the 300pt box, so I split a box with a buddy and painted up numbers five and six. They pretty much look like the older ones, but I am doing teal and purple highlights with an airbrush now. I woudn't say it looks significantly better, but it sure is a lot faster.

Amen! Unfortunately, I have been batching the Spiral Corps box really hard, usually doing 3 or 4 at a time, so I'm not sure how much time it's really saving me, but it feels like 1-2hrs a model faster than before. Either way, I am going to stick with it for now.

Kerail Preceptors! I am in love with these models, and since they are AVA 2, I just had to pick up a second box on sale. I painted the first two cats red and blue, so these ones were going to be yellow and green. The green came out OK, but the yellow was a travesty. I picked the wrong highlightt colors for sure. I am going to redo the yellow one, then I will repost a picture of the entire unit, but I wanted to get the stuff I had already finished out now. I kind of wanted to paint the base of the green cat a different color as it blends into the model somewhat, but the dozens of other Tohaa bases I have painted were all the same colors, and I stuck to my guns.

...and now onto the Spiral Corps box! This lady is the crown jewel of the box as far as I am concerned. You can never go wrong with a Clipsos in your list, and the old sculpt in the 300pt box was garbage. I love this one, and I am excited to be able to run two Clipsos FOs in a list without proxying.

@wendigo Glad to see this army is still growing strong. What do you think about the new Spiral releases that have come out after the Army Box?

As far as I know, the only one that is actually out is the Taagma sniper, right? I picked him up even though he can't be used in Tohaa because maybe I will eventually play Spiral and the model is cool. The other is the Kriigel SMG. I pre-ordered it but I haven't really gotten a good look at it yet. Speaking of which...

Kriigel Agent! This is a fun new profile. I dig the repeatable eraser and the phero-booster. He integrates well into a triad and is awesome at area denial. The model is a bit of a snooze fest, though. It's solid, but not particularly inspiring. I painted him up anyway because the Kriigel profile is in heavy rotation right now in my lists.

Interesting, that looks a lot more like a Human Sphere weapon than a Tohaa weapon...

I believe that is a breaker rifle with an LGL. I agree that the underslung grenade launcher gives it a decidedly terrestrial appearance.

Draal Saboteurs! The other standout profile added to Tohaa. Stratus clouds and dazers? Yes, please. The male figure looks just like the Kriigel, but I do love that bizarro hair on the female figure. That's the one that always sees the table as alas they are only AVA 1 in Tohaa. Maybe I will run them both one day if I ever try Spiral.

Kiel-Saan! It would be hard to argue that this guy is an optimized profile in a faction full of <=13pt autoincludes, but he sure is a lot of fun. I took him in a couple of friendly games and he bullied his way around the board. That said, he would never be in a tournament list. I adore the model as well, although the swords are built with an obvious weak point near the hilt where they will both inevitably snap off as they get shuffled around. I took this picture right after I glued on the tufts, so excuse the liquid glue at the bottom of the meadow flowers.

Bonus spec-ops. This model is totally awesome. Great sculpt, great pose, well made. I have no idea what I am going to use it for, as the last time I played in a spec-ops tournament was 2016, but I am ready just in case!

Kiiutan Imposter. Cool model. I assume the pistol is triangular because it's viral. The spiral corps SMG profiles are interesting, but the Tohaa combi one is unimpressive. I've tried it in a couple of friendly games and the most fun I've had was deploying him on the other side of the board without impersonating and dropping a bomb on him with a Kaeltar deployed in reserve. As an attack piece or an assassin, though, meh.

The Warsenal Runohaa base I put this guy on turns out not to be entirely present. I wish I had noticed it sooner. I am tempted to make it whole via greenstuff but that seems like a lot of trouble and I may just leave him lopsided given how little table time I expect him to get.

It wouldn't be hard to fix that base.

One way would be to glue a 1" diameter washer to the complete part, then fill the gap between the base and the washer with Green Stuff.

A slightly more complex way would be to drill a hole for magnets into the complete side, cover the 1" washer with some plastic wrap, then stick that to the magnet and fill the gap with GS. This way would let you remove the washer at the end of the process.

Thanks for the advice. I think I am going to give it a shot. Every time I see it, it bothers me.

Taagma Schemers! Well, I can't imagine NOT taking a counterintelligence unit now that I have one, and holoprojector is just a lot of psychological fun for a unit that will probably never activate. Tis a shame the model almost never hits the table unless it's under fire, which is usually a sign that things have gone way south.

I went ahead and picked up the viral sniper rifle model because I was already painting up a bunch of artichokes so why not. Love the model, love the pose, but man, this was a difficult model to assemble. The parts just did not want to go together without bending. I did a barely acceptable job by bending parts and filling in gaps with green stuff and superglue. This was the most difficult model I have tried to assemble since digital sculpts.

Reex Escorts! Man, I love these models. It is a shame the profiles are garbage in Tohaa and will never see the table. I guess that's why I painted them last. Maybe I will proxy them for Kaauri or something. I appreciate the abundance of hard surface to get some airbrush highlights going on.

Kerail Preceptors 2.0! I posted a pic of the green cat and the guy not too long ago, but I was really struggling with the yellow one. I ended up painting him dead last because I was struggling to paint yellow. I was looking for something high contrast like the other colors, but in my first attempt I started brown and worked up, washing in sepia. It looked horrible so I gave it another shot, this time starting with an orange and working up to sun yellow, keeping the sepia wash. It's not quite as punchy as I had hoped, but I am satisfied with it. Looking forward to trying out a four-cat list at some point.
