The ultimate combat Controller, the strategist with no match in the Hexadome, come and learn about Hannibal. If you have him in your team, then you know it's going to be a real A! team. http://heartofthehyperpower.blogspot.com/2019/06/aristeia-aristo-analysis-hannibal.html
Well, it's all the PanOceanian Aristos first. We'll come back around and look at the "Rivals" faction by faction once they are done. So, unfortunately, they are a while away.
I mean, I DO run a PanOceanian channel. It was really only the badgering from others which made me seriously consider doing a "Rivals" series at all. That and I really want to talk about how close the Nomads are to a complete range of Aristos, and what they really need to pick up to plaster over those gaps.
Glad to hear it. And, seriously, it's kinda frustrating how close some of the other factions are to being able to field a complete Team with just in-faction choices. I mean, Yu-Jing works as long as you go BEFORE Uprising, but losing Mushashi AND Kozmo really hurts them. Otherwise, they can make a STRONG and highly synergistic team.
Uprising is a non-issue, it hasn't happened yet. Aristeia is canonically set before the most recent trilogy of books and (IIRC) before Campaign Paradiso also. Hence why Lunah is still with Haqq instead of the ISS. She doesn't publicly reveal whatever gets her wanted until the end of this season (and Aristeia, unlike infinity, does not appear to have any plot progression, just deepening. So it will likely stay that way.)
I really hope it stays that way. I don't want my game to have a story, i want it to have a setting where i create my own stories.
I don't think nationality is a problem in sport. Look at soccer. Most pro team (at least in Europe) include a lot, if not mostly, foreigners. Same goes for pro rugby.
You are always free to create your own story. I did it the same with Infinity and most recently with AoS and my Wood Elves who still fight united with the Forest Spirits and all the other Wanderer units.
Hannibal is a great pick, though I think sometimes a bit overused, he's also incredibly boring but I LOVE what he does for some characters.
I was reminded in a match last night, as I went two full rounds with no cards left in my Tactics deck while my opponent continued to draw from HIS deck which he'd recycled, why Hannibal is just so popular.
