question popped up locally: Does the xenotech deploy in the normal deployment zone, or if a mi model that meets the requirements deploys in its new 4" advance does the xenotech deploy ahead as well? Tried to see if it was already answered but that is a lot of salt i dug through and couldnt find it anywhere other than the entry in the comlog app. Thanks ahead of time, -Rom
You don’t attach the xenotech to one of your troopers and then deploy the xenotech along with that trooper. The entry “During the Deployment Phase, the Xenotech will be deployed in the CivEvac state, Synchronized with a trooper that meets the requirements to declare the Synchronize Civilian Skill.” means that You deploy the xenotech according to its own rules (it doesn’t have any, so you deploy it in your deployment zone), and then you put it into CivEvac with whatever qualifying trooper you have there.
Hello guys. May I delay deploy Xenotech for free, with my last mini in deployment pashe ? For example 1) my roster has 10 miniatures + 1 xenotech. I am deploying 9 mini and deley 1 last mini + xenotech or 2) i am deploing 9 mini + xenotech and delay 1 last mini ?
I think that you have to delay both: A Civilian in CivEvac state is considered to possess the G: Synchronized Special Skill. http://infinitythewiki.com/en/CivEvac G: Synchronized troopers will be deployed at the same time their Controller is deployed as if they were a single trooper. http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Ghost_(G)#Ghost:_Synchronized
But CivEvac and G: Synchronized it's different skills. I asked this question because don't understand. I am deploying Xenotech then synchronize or synchronized in my mind with mini)
Xenotech is not a G:Synchronized unit (it gains the skill after it has been synchronized) and does not deploy together with the miniature you slave it to. Being a civilian, it should also not count as a trooper you are allowed to hold back. You are free to deploy it un-synched, however.
What happens if you have no valid unit to synch it to during deployment (either due to the sync rule exclusions, or everything that could be valid being in a fireteam (and therefore invalid)? Does it mean you have to have possible link options deliberately not in a fireteam so there is an eligible synch option?
I was under the impression that xenotech deploys the same time as the data tracker is deployed. Which is after the reserved models are deployed. Is this the case?
All models get deployed normally, the only thing that happens afterwards is the designation of the datatracker, like, which of your already deployed troops is the datatracker. Solkan quoted the rules: The Xenotech gets deployed in the CivEvac state and Synchronized. And as I posted earlier, synchronized models get deployed at the same time as their controller. So if you hold the controller back, you have to hold back the Xenotech as well.
The Xenotech still doesn't have G:Synch when you deploy it, so you won't have permission to keep it with your reserved model because as long as it's not on the table it doesn't have anything allowing you to do so.
Sure it does, because of CivEvac: A Civilian in CivEvac state is considered to possess the G: Synchronized Special Skill. http://infinitythewiki.com/de/Civilian_Rules#Synchronize_Civilian
Wouldn’t that require the text to say that you deploy the Xenotech unsynched, and then put it into synched state? As it’s written, there is no point at which you are deploying a Xenotech that doesn’t have G:Synch.
I think Mahtamori right because "the Xenotech will be deployed in the CivEvac state and THEN synchronized" with legal trooper. look at comma after CivEvac state • During the Deployment Phase, the Xenotech will be deployed in the CivEvac state, Synchronized with a trooper that meets the requirements to declare the Synchronize Civilian Skill.
