To answer the initial question : - Love Vassily in Vanilla. It's both a camo lieutenant (replacing my usual scout lieutenant) and a specialist with interesting weapon - Strelok are good. I replaced one of the Foxtrot FO in my usual list by a strelok FO. I loose the mine but gain one more camo marker and a template weapon - Libertos is nice but 1SWC is to big a cost for my taste - Scout emauler : even if you don't take it, your opponent HI/TAG have to pay attention to all your camo marker in case it's a minelayed emauler. 0 cost, 100% psychological warfare
Don't forget van zant. Everyone remembers to look for him Vs usariadna but if you've got a convincing midfield of camo as vanilla, they're much less likely to be on the lookout. He can handily get in round the back door and pick off link team members from where they thought they were safe
