Here is the official wording, which has just been added to the wiki:

When creating a Fireteam: Core that includes Wildcard troopers, you must include at least one trooper from one of the units listed for that Fireteam in the Sectorial chart, or a trooper who counts as one of those units.

So 4 Veteran Kazaks + a 112 is valid, because you've included one of the troopers listed for the Fireteam: Core (Special or not). Four ABHs + 1 Rui Shi is not valid, because none of those units is listed in a Fireteam: Core.

You should probably remove the "Unit" name from the Fireteam chart as it no longer holds any relevance.

How would players easily look up the Fireteam options for a unit if you remove the unit column?

Because "Special Core: Up to 4 Zuyongs + Rui Shi" isnt an option. A standsrd Zuyong Core is the only core team listed for them on the chart, which a Rui Shi may join.

I do agree that a Doc going over, in detail, how valid fireteams are formed is needed at this point.

But that's not right: RuiShi has the same Fireteam as 112 in the charts. Screenshot_2019-06-04-18-07-16-282_com.android.chrome.png

I'm not being serious, I just think it's silly to create a Frontovik core without any Frontoviks.

    No it doesn't.

    For the 112:
Special Fireteam: Core. Up to 4 Frontoviks + 1 112s.
You start with Frontoviks and a 112. Veteran Kazaks replace all the Frontoviks but the 112 is still included.

    For the Rui Shi:
Special Fireteam. Up to 1 Rui Shi can join a Zúyŏng Invencibles Fireteam.
You start with Zúyŏngs. ABHs can replace Zúyŏngs and up to 1 Rui Shi replace a Zúyŏng, but you need at least 1 Zúyŏng to be included.

"Count as" not the same as "can join a" / "Wildcard".
"Special core" you need one of the unit of that core ... any of the unit.

Ok I get the logic behind it. But I have been playing this game for more than 6 years ... and I got a master degree in law wich does help with that kind of logic.

I was planning to add a tuto video on FT on my serie of tutorials on my Youtube channel but now I'm not sure ... explaning what FT is legal what FT is not seem to be VERY complicated right now.

No, as they'd replace all the troopers from the original fireteam. They can form VetKazak Core, of course :P

What effect are you expecting that to have? There are no 'can join a Fireteam of Frontoviks' units in Tartary for that to matter.

Hold on, if the ABHs and Rui Shi only replace Zuyong does that mean this core can only ever have 4 members (since Zuyong are AVA4)? Or do you mean, ABH and/or a Rui Shi can be added to at least one Zuyong to make a core of up to 5?

I'd just like to note that questions about forming Fireteams are asked so frequently that there is an multi-paragraph stickied post dedicated to answering them.

This information absolutely needs to be in the FAQ or on the Wiki, especially if it is subject to change without warning.

I've had plenty of time to think about this now and I'm agreeing with Daboarder's original sentiment that a full review of every fireteam (and exception) is necessary. Clear up the language and get it consistent where things are supposed to be similar, and the exceptions are clearly specified.

Yes, I'm also very curious about the core itself. As in, without wildcards it can only be a 4-man link.
