So Stratuscloud follows the trooper that deployed it. It has several cancelation clauses including: *it lasts one full turn *it can be voluntarily ended NOT in the cancelation is if the trooper goes unconscious, Null, or dead. Does it then follow that: My Draal triggers Stratuscloud as an ARO. The Draal dies from enemy fire. The Stratuscloud template is placed at the end of the order, and remains there until the end of the next player turn. That all correct? Sent from my SM-J320P using Tapatalk
Point of order, the stratuscloud is actually active for the entire order during which the state is declared.
Works fine with Unconscious, but if the Draal dies the model is removed from the table, and because the Stratuscloud is centred on the model it too will be removed.
Huh? Why wouldn't it activate during Effects like other similar things. *Sigh* But, yes that is the way that CB designed it.
It's relevant for two interactions: activate stratuscloud + shoot, and defensively activating a stratuscloud as an alternative to dodging or shooting. Both are nice things for a model with the cloud to be able to do, from personal experience.
So's putting a Mine down and having it explode in your opponent's face... But I can't do that [emoji14]
I'm probably missing it, but why is stratus cloud activate immediately instead of like discover and happen during resolution as they are both short movement skills?
Final effect in Stratuscloud State. "The Stratuscloud state will be applied during the entire Order in which it was activated"
It occurs to me that you could also Casevac an Unconscious Draal to move it's Stratuscloud zone around :)
Thanks mate. Bit annoying that it isn't part of the effects of the skill instead of the state, but fair enough.
