Howdy to all, I'm opening this Thread (along with one twin on the Fan-Fart Subforum) to post all relevant “Fluff Background” and depictive Short Stories about an upcoming shared joint Infinity Roleplaying -related Project. . . In My L.G.S. there are 2-3 potential G.M. interested in the Modiphius R.P.G. that want to start a collaborative "Sourcebook" about the misadventures of Haqqislamite and Nomads Mercenary Troops helping and aiding Ariadnan Natives Soldiers-Of-Fortune. . . Their mission will be to locate, disable and neutralize (not necessarily "Lethally". . . . . but I believe "Non-Lethal" in Ariadna means a Teseum Handcannon Shot in the Kneecap, or a Viral Slug if You are an enraged Dogwarrior against a Merovingian Cop !!) anyone that wants to pilfer Teseum from the rightful owner of the Planet (and Yeah, claims of Not-Ownership of 100% Territory of Dawn by Pan-O "Prospectors" or Yujing "Frontier Colonists" will means NOTHING !!). . . Will soon post the ideal rooster structure of the Mercs R.P.G. Army “N.P.C.” Crew and, later, the description of all Players Characters that will join this (hopefully entertaining and productive !!) endeavour ; I went for "Minotaurs" as a symbol, as mythical legendary monsters famed for bloodthirsty ruthlesness and the obvious implication with the Ancient Greek myths related to Ariadnae (human daughter of Mynos, legendary King of Cretae) and Theseus (the Athen's hero that supposedly slayed the Minotaur, deformed half-son of Mynos and seduced, then abandoned Ariadnae). . .
Here will follow a rough list of the N.P.C. crew of the "Minotaurs Brigade" Mercenary Outfit, either aboard the Ship "Black Sails" (referred to the mythical mishaps occurred to Theseus during the victorious return from Cretae, but also to Privateering Pirates), their private compound on a Ariadnan Coastal Harbour island (roughly named "New Knossos" from the ancient seat of power of King Mynos) or other concerns around. . . I will divide this in three Sections as to help have both Player Characters (that I still have to be submitted by various P.C. of the L.G.S.) and the N.P.C. (both made by others, or "original mine" as in re-tweaked / re-used Concepts made from failed Art Projects !!). . . Anyone of those describe would have not only expanded Background Fluff but (hopefully) well-balanced N.P.C. Stats and even some sort of Graphic Art rendition to be linked / posted in the Fan-Art Subforum. . .
First of all the "Mercs" main base. . . New Knossos Island, private military harbour and barracks of the “Minotaur Brigade” Mercenary Outfit, Set just on the coastline of the Mirror Sea, directly before the borders between Tartary and Merovingia; while technically “bought” by funds of the McGregor Caledonian Clan, it is considered “Extranational Territory” (with limited, and very regulated, sovereign status) with shared % equally divided between all Nationalities of the joint participants (private trust funds with difficult links to the Federal Governments of Dawn). . . The Dawn Third of the ownership shares is a 30% equally divided between the Caledonia Justicar Seat (5%), the McGregor Clan (5%), the Tartary Govern of Matr (5%), U.S.Ariadna (5%) and Merovingia (5%). . . The other 30% is owned by the Sultanate of Bourak, granting the Island a Legal Status of “Caravanserary-In-Building” (that will NEVER be completed) with the rights to have Haqqislamite Security Personnel from Kapu-Kalqi and other licensed Bourakite “Sanctioned Bounty Hunters”. . . The last 30% is a shared bonds trust fund between Tunguskan Private Banks with ethnical Kazak ancestry (and so a link with the Tartary Government of Matr) at 10%; a corporate federation of Praxis Black Labs from Bakunin that specializes in Antipode Pheromones and Chimera Manifacture with imported Dogwarrrior / Dogface / Antipode “Cuckoo Virus Genetic Strands” and finally, a 10% technically owned by various “Metalworker Syndacate” from Corregidor that employ Teseum Alloys for Emergency Services such as Tomcat Hazmat Services. . . While convoluted and technically overcomplex that mess of Legal Loopholes allow a lot of latitude when battling againts foreign interests on Dawn (especially Panoceanian Lobbyist Mine-Corps and Yujing Zaibatsus that tries to muscle into Teseum Extraction) to attack “Criminal Enterprises” and “Native Thugs Contacting Extraplanet Smugglers”. . . Every legal complaint eventually filed to O12 would have a “Labyrinthine” maze to locate real culprits if is not clear if they were a Dawn-based P.M.C., an Haqqislamite “Merchantile Security Detail” or Nomads “Emergency Rescue Services” helping “Syndacated Workers” in distress. . . While not overly imposing on the surface, as an old abandoned Metallurgy Extraction Site (and technically linked to an exhausted Mine of Low-Grade Teseum of Volcanic Origins) with outdated industrial docks hastily converted in Mercenary Barracks, the island surface is almost all barren rocks swept by the Mirror Sea merciless waves and salty winds, where just hardy Spiny Scrubs natives of Dawn stubbornly clinging to the surface. . . The true width of the Operation lay under the unassuming surface, where the old, antiquated Mineshafts and Industrial Teseum Processing where expanded by savvy Nomad Hi-Tech Juryrigs and the cramped subterranean coridors made far more lievable by Top-Notch Haaqislamite Biomedicals (such as Organic Bioluminescence “Glow Balls” that shed a cool light without need of further Energy / Fuel conversion, or vast, airy Sunless Mushroom + Moss greenhouse that offer fresh air and edible vegetables). . . Aptly named “The Maze Of The Minotaurs” this connected, honeycombed complex structure is able to link various parts of the Island and also host Nomad Orbital Shuttles and Haqqislamite Hi-Tech Submersibles in underwater facilities, along with an enormous artifically expanded “Cavern Harbour” good to refite the “Capital Ship” of the Mercenary Brigade. . . Not only this wily underground structure helps shield the Merc Activities from nosy Orbital Spying from Hyperpowers-sponsored “Pirate Motherships” but also will protect almost 75% of the Assetts from even a direct Satellite Bombardment should the “Teseum Buccaneers” were excessively armed and pre-emptively avenging a counter-assault. . .!! Also the local Teseum Mine, while almost exhausted are “Technically Fully Functional” and be good to be able to dissimulate the truly staggering quantity of Teseum (either Raw Ore or even Refined Ingots) that is confiscated by the “Minotaurs” to anyone found caught; the smeltery and advanced Hi-Tech processing make following back the sources almost impossible and then fresh “Brand New” alloyed Teseum Ingots soon will found their way to secure Vaults either on Ariadnan Lands or Nomads / Haqqislamite “Consulate Embassies”. . .
Just wanted to add that @Koni of C.B. Staff said they will create a dedicated R.P.G. Subsection and will search for the appropriate placement inside the Infinity Forum, either as part of an existant Subforum or (as suggested by @AdmiralJCJF as a new, independant Subforum Section on its own). . .
