I recently picked up 'Fell Seal; Arbiter's Mark' from steam. Tactical grid-based RPG that might finally be the spiritual successor to Final Fantasy Tactics, and I don't make that claim lightly. I have played many Tactical RPGs (Disgaea, Fire Emblem, Argarest War, Shadowrun Returns, etc) none of them have quite captured the level of team customization and tactical decisions as Final Fantasy Tactics. Fell Seal might actually hit that mark. The graphics are nothing fancy, but they are quite serviceable and grow on you after a while. The story is good so far, and the characters are mostly likable. The team customization is very deep and flexible. If you are a fan of Tactical RPGs I would take the time to check this one out.

For those with a Switch - would you recommend?
Thinking of getting one, I have a good PC but my evenings and weekends are usually busy and I often don't have time to sit down and concentrate for more than 20 minutes. Switch looks friendlier to my schedule. Anyone in similar circumstance?

I've put off getting one because there isn't anything I want to play on it. My roommate and best friend have one and it's neat system that works great – just nothing to play on it imo. If you think you'd get a lot of use out of it I would say go for it. Though, I can see them coming out with a nicer model either this holiday season or next

If you go for a Switch, it because you want Nintendo exclusive IPs. (Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Fire Emblem...) And at the moment, Nintendo Switch is Indie-land

After they outright abandoned and gave their back to us Linux users who backed them just like everybody else outright denying us refunds, i've given my back to them and will think very carefully about backing anything that promises Linux but has nothing to show for it, no matter who it is

Nope. No Linux version at all. Here's the KS announcement when they broke the news.
Then, being a backer, i asked them directly about it and about refunding my pledge if they were no longer bringing it to Linux, and their response:
They turned their back on me. I'm returning the favor, which hurts as Symphony of the Night is even now one of my favorite games ever, but i can no longer in good faith support them. And now i'll forever be wary of supporting games in KS. This is the very definition of "that's why we can't have nice things".

Please be aware that both GoG and Steam have emulating stuff that allows the games to be played on Linux, if you still have your pledge do not resell it, since there is a good chance there will be a compatible version.

Me, I've only backed digitally-formatted texts for a long while now (too much miniatures to go into another Reaper Bones KS, and those are the only phisical ones I backed, and for the PC games... well, they seldom deliver as promised).

Years ago I backed a modern Space Quest type game, don't think it has ever been released. Pity as it was being made by a lot of the original devs.

I also backed Xenonauts 2 and they have been sending out pretty frequent updates. I have more faith in that one

Other thing is GoG got a team that sole job is to make games retro or future compatible and linux avadible - they may be able to add compatiblity for linux

Has anyone played "Into the Breach" ? I cannot recommend it highly enough to anybody who enjoys grid map turn based strategy!

Such a good game, and IMHO properly 'Nintendo Hard', though that might be because I'm one of those people who always seems to suffer under RNGs, tabletop or digital)

If you're into that sort of thing, I can heartily recommend Wargroove, it's basically Advance Wars in a fantasy setting, similar 'Nintendo Hard' difficulty.

Personally I've been really stuck into Breath of the Wild atm, just getting to Zora's domain and about to do the Lynel quest before going on to the first divine beast. Really enjoying the focus on inventive combat tactics (though I'm not good enough to do the mental physics contraptions you see on YT), it's a refreshing change from your LoZ-standard 'run in swinging your sword' combat.
