I have to agree; I think that would be a bad precedent that would open up things like S2 troopers vaulting over S4 REMs, etc.

First is is S value so S2 can pass through S1-2 but not S3+ now on camouflage I would say they do not block movement.

I've always played that an S2 model can move through (friendly) S2 camo markers, whether they are troopers or deployables.

I have played it as well that way, but it seems the rules do not allow such a move sadly.

Camo explicitly says you may not walk into btb with it and no rule allows you to walk over a mine.

Is this accurate and the official ruling?

    There's no official ruling.

The camo rules about B2B are interestingly asymmetric. Effects contains this:
    • Troopers cannot enter base to base contact with a Camouflage Marker.
    However, cancellation contains this
    • The Camouflaged trooper enters base to base contact with a model.
So in general a camo marker can go into B2B with another model, but another model can't enter B2B with a camo marker.

As I said earlier, I've always played the rule that allows you to move through friendly troops as taking priority over the rule that forbids B2B with camo. Maybe I read things wrong, but I guess I interpreted the B2B prohibition as being about in the B2B "state", rather than about passing through that space on the table. (Yes, I know B2B is not on the list of game states)

Reminder that this FAQ entry exists (page 4 of the 1.6 FAQ.)
Can a trooper move through allied Markers like Camouflage, TO Camouflage and IMP Markers, or his own Deployable Equipment and Deployable Weapons?

Yes, if the trooper’s Silhouette Attribute is equal or greater.
That has to mean that the bullet point about not being able to enter base contact with a Camouflage Marker applies to enemy Camouflage Markers.

I don't remember when that was added, but it's not marked new in the 1.6 FAQ.

Bit of a necro on this thread. When posted the faq didn't exist. Now an faq exists to allow you to do this.
