So I was looking more closely at the Kriigel Agent's Eraser and realized that seems a lot more powerful than the Jammer.

Eraser has Double Trouble as its ammunition type as well as being burst 2, meaning potential 4 BTS rolls.

It does however have the restriction of only being usable in the ACTIVE turn.

Any thoughts on this? Is this as powerful as it seems on paper?

    Yep, it's basically a Double Jammer+.

The Eraser skill has the ARO tag, what restriction do you see from being able to use it in the reactive turn? The clause that states "In the Active Turn, the user may distribute two WIP Rolls among one or multiple targets" just prevents you from distributing rolls among targets in ARO.

Oops! You are totally right, I miss-interpreted that. Thanks for drawing that to my attention.

Well that makes it even more powerful than I first assumed.

B2, DT, with a -3 to the opponents WIP... It's a Monster for isolation.
You could really gut punch your opponents Rambo/Fireteams.
    what's the Average WIP 12-13? That's a 9-10 to resist.
Give him 26 pts of Reex n you got a nice cheap Triad... and that 13pts Reex has you covered in the positive up to 16". Nanopulser template, B.Shotgun, Contender... Nice lil' unit

You only have burst one in aro or am I wrong? So you couldn't distribute among several targets anyway?

That is true in case of BS attacks.
Eraser is a comms attack and not a BS attack.

No. See the big yellow box for Pheroware Tactics reminding players that Burst is reduced to 1 in ARO.

Unfortunetely the wording is less than clear on Wiki.
In the Active Turn, the user may distribute two WIP Rolls among one or multiple targets.
There is no direct indication what will happen in case of ARO.
The Pheroware Tactics entry states Eraser to be Burst 2.
I would love to read a FAQ or something related to this.
    Edit: Ninjas, ninjas everywhere!
Thank you, guys, for clearing this up!

Burst bonus is only on bs attacks (smoke, shooting, technical weapon etc) not on comms attack and hacking

I guess that the Phero-booster gets the Fireteam bonus, does it?
It is a weapon after all, although a Technical one. That means a WIP 13, B 3 attack that Targets the... uuuh... target.

Another reason to pick the Kriigel.

"This weapon can make BS Attacks, but uses the WIP Attribute in place of BS. When using this weapon, consider all rules and MODsthat would affect the trooper's BS as affecting his WIP Attribute instead."

    Yes B +1 in FT

This really makes the Kriigel seem like an order hog. A heavy lifter, who can go to work and get stuff done with lots of tricks: smoke, mirrorball (white noise), and Eraser (Jammer+).

Are Reex the best way to support them? Do they work against our other powerhouse MSV2 Viral Sniper Taagma? Is it just smoke up to ZoC and start nuking?
