Hacking Device: They automatically identify whether a figure—but not a Marker—inside the Hacker's Hacking Area is targetable by a specific Hacking Program. So Holoprojector tells us that Hackable is open information but not necessarily a Hacker. The Hacking Device on the ARO hacker in the OP would tell you if the Kanren can be targeted by programs that target hackers. The problem now is that it mentions figures and not markers. Holo1 was the issue in the OP but what if Holo2? Holo2 can use two Markers and a model. Say the ARO Hacker is in a four man Fireteam and has Sixth Sense Level 2, it could ignore the use of Stealth but the Kanren could be hidden as one of the Markers and be ‘undetectable’, or as the figure and be ‘detectable’ and you would know if it was targetable. You’d still have to discover/react against the Kanren but you would know if the model was the actual holo bearer, turning the shell game into a 50/50. Different again if you use Holo1 as part of Holo2 and use models instead of markers. In both cases you know that there’s Holo2 on the board in your opponents active turn because of the two Holoecho markers and the model, or the use of three models needs a Holoecho Marker in the active turn. Should the models count as Markers to prevent abuse? Kind of corner case but if you’re in a mission that involves hunting specialists then it’s probably going to get used one way over the other.
