This is my first attempt at conversion ever. I'm not sure about the result. Made a Raoul Spector from Fiday beyond red veil box. For the shotgun I used combi rifle from Heckler with minor touch ups.
Used the Bolt Medic arms, Ragik ponytail, and a finescale Statuesque head to made an updated Bipandra. I think perhaps I should've filed down the hair a bit more; the beret seems to sit a bit high.
Thanks, man! Yeah, the Raoul mini is such a let down. Spector needs a proper mini and I think Fiday will make the job quite nicely.
I've been dipping my toes into conversions with a couple of TAGs. Starting with the big models on the theory that they'll be easier First up an Anaconda reworked to play the part of an O-Yoroi. I built a second sword and scabbard out of an old credit card, stuck a spare Shikami head on and move the scabbards to the hip. And then with a coat of paint: And finally a Gorgos reposed in a more active pose. This mostly entailed cutting the right leg up so that it could be bent at the knee and then fixing all the problems that caused.
Oh hey, that's a great idea! Credit cards and such have a good rigidity, well thought! Just.... make sure the numbers aren't on the sword. :p
They are basically plasticard. May want to also avoid the magnetic strip and PIN chip if there is one. Oh, and probably use an expired one
Even better would be the samples you sometimes get in the mail. Those that are basically just advertisement.
To be fair, it might have been a library card rather than a credit card. I don't think I had to deal with the raised numbers, magnetic strip or chip.
Trying to repose that Liu Xing ballet dancer. Would have liked to create a super hero landing pose of course, but that was a bit too hard. He gets a little crater around him at least.
It's a base layer of kabalite green from citadel (a sort of jade/emerald green) with blue green from Vallejo over the top. I might have mixed alight sky blue into the blue green for some of the highlights.
I've just re started the game after a 4 year hiatus. I got rid of all my old minis, but I'm straight back into my old love, SEF and with the new changes all the better. I love the Sphinx mini but decided to make some little changes to it so it seems a bit more sneaky.
Got that C Clamp going lol! +1BS! Pixie the Nahab KHD is finally done! She celebrated this by cutting a Sophotect down, followed by a Deva Spitfire, and CSU. :D
