How has nobody mentioned the tsyklon feuerbach? With b2 explosive marksmanship 2 and bs 15, he is damn near the new aro king. And good enough in active turn with b3 ap da.

 

Oh yeah, that thing is insane and one of the first things I did after the update, but because of a few missions and table layouts I've had to deal with Wildcats have been front and centre for me lately.

 

If you are short on regular smoke grenades in a Massacre/Jaguar link, just try the smoke grenades your Jags are equipped with. I heard that grenades are good!!!

 

I am still undecided what kind of Haris I should field in an allcomers list, Wildcats or Sr. Massacre. CoreLink will be a defensive Tsyklon Feuerbach/MB/2 Alguaciles/Valerya fireteam. Add some Bandits, a Daktari, perhaps a TR REM or Intruder, 1-2 more specialists and some Alguaciles/Transduktors/Salyuts to maximise on regular orders.

This one is cheap in SWC and points but has to spend Orders moving up field. CQC Monsters but not that good at shooting enemies.

This Haris is more expensive in SWC and points, but packs way more punch due to BS13 B5 Spitfire. Those guys start with forward deployment (Lupe has to hang back, but that means better range for her Panzerfaust). To fully use that, I might change Lupe to a Wildcat Engineer - same points.

Any thoughts?

 

I believe Lupe is better in the Wildcat Haris. MAsscre and Jaguars have enough smoke/eclipse to to march up the field. Lupe doesn't bring anything unique to that Haris.

Lupe really helps the Wildcats advance however, and can help them get into a more favorable position. Wildcats are assault troops in my experience and make lackluster defensive links.

 

Your Wildcats are also slower, so placement distance is a wash in the end. I vastly prefer Massacre and Co for aggressive operations: more durable, more options that the rest of your force does not have (especially advancing under smoke cover to CC against beastly shooters).

 

Wildcats are as fast as Sr. Massacre if you move + smoke (with both) all the way. And with Spitfires ideal range is 8-24inch, you will not need to spend that many orders for moving up the field like Sr. Massacre but may use those orders to shoot at enemy targets.
But I get your point. And Massacre and Jags are 10% better at throwing grenades due to PH 13.

 

Now that they have smoke between that and their very high single-wound dealing potential with the Spitfire Wildcats are pretty fast now.

 

Is there a cool Cat Woman mini in Batman the game cause this makes me waana proxy her ;)

I use Gata from the Aristeia! Starter Box as Daktari. Cat face mask, cat's tail, dynamic pose

 

There is also the Pirate Gata miniature that has a fluffy cat tail and extra cat. Cats intensify!

 

So I threw this core fireteam into a list for a game today:

First order of the game, a Hospitaller HMG in a 5-man Joan link pops around the corner and engages the Tsyklon in cover outside of 32". The Tsyklon crits with EXP on a 12, the Hospitaller fails both armor rolls and is removed from the table. We both just sat there with our mouths open for a few seconds. According to dice calculator, there was a <2% chance of that happening. The link went on to get gutted by the Biotechvore zone and finished off entirely by Joan, but I still think they earned their points back that game. :)

 

Is this a legal fireteam?

The mixed Team must consist of: 0-2 Mobile Brigadas (or counts as Mobile Brigadas) and 0-3 Alguaciles (or counts as Alguaciles).

You used 1 mobile Brigada (counts as) and 4 Alguaciles (3 Alguaciles and 1 counts as).

In CJC, Valerya is no Wildcard. To do a 5 trooper MB/Alguacil Link w/o MB, you need: 2 Tsyklons or 1 Tsyklon and a Wildcard or 2 Wildcards. Wildcards are Daktari and Lupe.

 

Correct that's not legal.

 

Swap Valerya for Daktari or Lupe and it's legal again.

I'm not sure why you'd want to have your hacker in the same link as the offensive bot, if you spend an order on supportware that exposes the link to ARO which would give free shots on your bot.

 

The problem with the Daktari is its AVA1 - So, if you put her in the core link, there is no Zondbot for her to be in 2 places at once. And she is the only Doc avaiable.
And Lupe has other duties than sitting in the back....
