Fair enough. I am pretty keen on Mukhtars, so they were already sort of filling that hunter-killer role in that price range, but they wouldn't be alpha strikers per se.
We are playing a tournament with the grid and the Armory as 2 of the 3 mission and i‘m thinking about bringing the specialist operativ namah because as far as i can understand it it is possible for her to blow up the outer wall of the armory in the first order with the D charges what do you think about that? for these 2 missions i guess the special operstive namah is better than the killer hacker.
That sounds like a good idea. Having an infiltrating/airborne infiltrating D-charge delivery platform in those missions isn't a bad idea. Because of their high CC and NBW you can attack the terrain with d-charges, which is more order efficient. I can see them being pretty effective as well in Looting & Sabotaging. Never hurts to bring a KHD Nahab as well for hunting hackers and as an extra specialist. The Forward Observer Mukhtar seems like a good choice for the Grid as well, since you can FO the antennas and place D-charges on them with the same troop. Put them in a Haris, blow up some antennas and then get them in suppressive fire. They'll be a pain to dislodge.
A Namurr could OWN the armory. With Hyper Dynamics l2, D-Charges, and EM CCW, they could dance inside the armory all day ignore templates (the usual method of clearing the room) and engaging units in the doorway preventing further units entering. Further d-charges get her in. She alone could hold it.
I would like to point out that a single die on 18 is still a single die. You don't need templates to clear a room from, to quote the post above, "her alone", so it's unlikely your opponent will use DTWs just because that's what he usually does with objective rooms, without considering what's actually there. A good ol' B5 in her face removes her in 2 orders on average. Even if she Engages successfully, CC 18 with no CC Skills to back that up is absolutely nothing to write home about. Neither is being placed wherever your opponent wants, nor fighting in CC against gang up bonuses that will likely follow, even if she was actually good in CC.
Shoot she is only CC18? Bleh...I keep combining the Nahab and the Namurr for some reason in my head. I guess I want the a Nahab-murr...the most deadly "ship".
Umm... Nahab Airmobile is CC 22, +Natural Born Warrior, so up to CC 25 in NBW mode B. Namurr Experimental Operative is, indeed, CC 18 flat.
