I'm kind of shocked there's not a thread for this already. It's made the rounds on WGC so many times people are already complaining when it comes up

Just stumbled upon the show today and am currently watching them all. Now I need a Lucky 13 ship for a table and want to use my Devil Dog a little more haha!

Was really fun to watch, even when I'm out of the age that all these sex and violence is really needed.
But it's better than the censored shit for young adults who sometimes is seen.

Stories were amusing and varied, even when the quality of them were different.

Very true. I loved the exposure to some different animation styles I have never seen before and scifi short stories made into games or movies is always awesome.

Just thinking how they are going to do The Culture series after watching these as well. It certainly has a lot of violence and sex in between the Minds plotting events over centuries. Really needs the M rating. Hell one story involves and orgy as a welcome party so despite the high caliber space opera that the series is known for it also gets pretty gratuitous at times (that also has little to no impact on the plot either).

Reminded me the Animatrix in that aspect. Even though I liked only a few of the Animatrix stories - Love, Death & Robots was way more to my taste there.

I've watched most of these now and the quality is very variable. Some I thought were fantastic and others were a bit poor. Nice little series though.

Apparently, David Fincher has been wanting to reboot "Heavy Metal" for years, and his "homages" are showing.
Gratuitous nudity for the sake of it.
Gratuitous violence and mutilation for the sake of it.
A few good stories amongst them but many have that squick factor. So it's pretty much Metal Hurlant ...

I loved "Lucky 13", "Ice age", "three robots" and "suits" though.
I didn't care much for the Yoghurt one (it can leave our planet for all I care. I can't stomach the stuff (not lactose intolerance, it's a culture (lol) thing. It makes me hurl).
