What's everyone's favorite proxy for Helots? I imagine the Libertos is going to be far and away the favorite but getting my hands on one of them is proving extremely difficult. What are some other options people have tried or looked to? My local meta is very loose with proxy and conversion requirements so other game system recommendations are welcome.
I got lucky, and was able to get my hands on 3 Libertos shortly after they were released. Units from the Tohaa line are fine. I've seen a lot of folks just use the Warsenal 3D silhouette markers though... They look a bit like a miniature, because they use the Helot's official dossier art on the token. They're not a bad proxy.
I'm using the decoy markers from Warsenal since they are full color 'paper dolls' using the dossier art. I plan on replacing them with models as soon as they are released though.
When in Decoy or Ltd Camo I use the Warsenal markers, when they are revealed I use one of my many many Joan of Arcs. It’s very distinctive for my opponent and easy to remember.
I'm using these guys. Greenstuff a gas-mask/goggles onto them, bandoliers with ammo pouches and grenades, as well as press-mould the Kamau HRL and they look pretty OK. Downside is that they are straight up too big. They tower over Heavy Infantry (but still fit onto a 25mm base).
Personally, I've been using my Auxilia models. They are also BS 11, and have full-covered masks. No tails of course, but I'm satisfied with them until we get a proper box!
