I think one of the main advantage in vanilla is that you don't have to choose between SymbioMates or SymbioBombs, you can take both. This is especially useful for the Kiuutan if you give him both as the SymbioBomb makes him very threatening and additionally he has extraordinary survivability using the SymbioMate. Maximizing the ability to delay your opponent. Same if you use the Draal for doing objectives. Due to his Forward Deployment L2 and you using him to walk around to grab objectives, the SymbioBomb lets be a scary trooper covering a big portion of the field and leading your opponent to make tough choices. Additionally the SymbioMate hinders your oppponent stopping the Draal from grabbing objectives or being threatening. I also like having the Kriigel in vanilla. The Mirrorball combined with a Non-MSV long ranged weapon in a triad is quite useful against MSV-troops (like the typical MSV-Sniper your opponent is fielding). The only Sniper options in Spiral Corps either have MSV or are not linkable. If you consider Medium-long range weapons like RedFury, Spitfire or MK12 the only regular or linkable options in Spiral Corps are really expensive in my oppinion (Neema, Chaksa Longarms Haris, Kiel-Saan). So vanilla has an advantage in this point being able to use cheaper or more fitting units to form triads synergizing with Mirrorball.
Not having access to the Kriigel+Reex means I'll probably never touch the Reex (we'll see, but I like my triads too much, might be worth it to grab the K1 Marksman on occasion...) People seem to be running unlinked Draal a lot. That's pretty interesting to me. So far I've had very little trouble having triad members keep up with the Draal even with forward deployment and the 6-2 MOV, but I've also seen Draal perform well solo so maybe it's fine.
Well I did have him in a Triad but then I started worrying about him miring his triad mates in the Dazer :p That combines with FD2 made me think he'd be better off on his own, and if he's solo I can plop him somewhere in suppressive. I guess I'll have to try him out both ways and see.
The krigell/reex/reex job is to mark/kill. Use to mark hard to kill units with phero then use bigger guns to take said unit down. Also use to kill/mark a stray fire team member then use other krigell to smoke them to cover my units. The draal/kaeltar/krigel job is button push objectives and kill units. The second draal is a lone unit button pusher and to use dazer to make my opponents waste more orders to move to objectives or just move in general. The taagma/chaksa/chaksa sniper is long range support.

I can either go forward with backup triad with kriigel, or make a defensive with sniper.
It might just be the mobile interface but that's a bit tricky to read. Sukeul and Gao-Rael will always be pretty reliable on the attack though.

First: please check next time the formatting, you aren't a rookie anymore Second: would change the SHRL Chaksa against a HFT one and a diplomatic delegate. And I see what you want to do, but the HRL isn't worth the orders. And I don't understand why you take 2 Kamael and not 2 SMG Kerail.
Without changing to much, there's no way to fill the SWC. I think despite of that you could give the list a try.
@Ben Kenobi Yeah I'm going to give it a go this week if the mission allows it. Gotta start getting some experience with the new pieces :)
Thanks Ben, I was on mobile so changing formatting wasn't so easy. I take kamael instead of kaurii with the makaul to have a melee killer triad with but yeah kauri is also an idea
I can make the same list, but without delegate and krakot, but with kerail perseptors with beast. So it will be 16 orders. What do you think?
With two Gao Rael it would be a good replacement. Never tried the smoke trick with Tohaa, but it should work perfectly. And you have enough Makaul for Close Combat situations.
Kerail is ace when combined with Gao Rael, in some situations normal rolling smoke onto a Gao Rael can completely ruin your opponents turn.

(0 | 5) 2.5 SWC | 299 Points Open in Infinity Army ended up dropping the kaeltar with bombs in favor of the greif operator. i found the bombs were making me play too conservatively with the draal and sukeul, as i didn't want to endanger them and lose the bombs to early. having just 2 specialists is prolly not enough, the greif op or taagma will proly be switched out for specialists as needed. the draal and kriigel are gonna continue seeing play, they thoughts on specific guys after play: Draal: solid dude. dazers are going to take some time to get used to. i didn't know that you could only do a single move when moving through very difficult terrain. also noticed that sukeul have multiterrain, which is pretty good to remember if you are using draal in vanilla. 6-2 move is hella nice on a specialist. Kriigel: my first game was against shock army. he had 5 bagh-mari. the white noise was so clutch. throwing eclipse grenades from inside a white noise template, its just so great. this guys is gonna be a game changer for advancing with eclipse/white noise, since i can place the white noise from inside the smoke while still advancing. also, eraser is hella good aro, especially with the fireteam of kriigel/sukuel/makaul. great fireteam, im loving this unit. Taagma: counterintel is nice. i like going first. during the second matchup i had him pretend to be a gao-rael sniper while playing against an ariadne player. i positioned him really "poorly", just watching a center lane, like not great coverage, but enough to be annoying. he dodged prone after a sniper was moved into position to shoot at him. Greif Operator: i hadn't registered that even the impersonation profile had msv1 previously, which makes it pretty good for a lot of my local meta lately, as i've been seeing a lot of camo/mimetism. i only played this guy in game three, but he definitely did his job. going first with him, i found it better than a clipsos for killing things. double breaker pistols was nice for the fight vs. ariadne. he was able to take out a tankhunter missile launcher and vassily marksman rifle with just his pistols, and then go into suppressive. i feel like if you just treat inferior impersonation as superior infiltration but with no ph roll, you will see some strong results with this guy.
