I see the Namurr as a fast/mobile specialist, on the same level as Shikami. You don't use either to kill things unless you are way out of other options, they exist to go places and push buttons no-one else can. [ edit for spelling ]
Agreed. Actually, I am surprised everyone seems so take by the Spitfire. The Rifle+LSG seems pretty good and much cheaper.
Also the cheaper profile has fireteam duo so Tarik Can join her fireteam so while Tarik moves up the Field she comes along and when Tarik Goes rampage she stays in the midfield on top of a roof and Waits for the Next Turn to push Buttons
Now I want to make bad jokes about poison, total Immunity and athletic prowess to match. I am really sorry, but once you've begun with terrible jokes, you cannot stop.
I think that's good though, the Sectoral, faction and game as a wider whole should definitely cater to multiple playstyles. For me I like multi-capable and tough troops who can hold out in a pinch, so I've got a lot of time for the Namurr. If I wanted a really efficient and fast gunfighter, well the Mukhtar is right there! If they did the same job, that'd be dull. She does a bit of a few things and some of the (resilience, mobility) really well. I definitely think she's trickier to leverage, but then also at the same time has potentially a bit more potential. A fast and very tough E/Marat is, well. I'm just saying that there's a lot of HI out there who should worry about the Namurr.
I think Namuur is a great option, especially in limited insertion where troopers that can accomplish multiple roles well are more favoured. Being a hardy specialist makes her ideal for certain missions too, especially for missions where you score points by controlling objectives (Power Pack, Safe Area, Show of Force), or flip buttons and control a sector (hey Supremacy, Engineering Deck). 6-2 super climb really will help, especially in those last ditch last turn dashes that sometimes come up when you realize you haven't been doing the mission enough until the last turn. Sitting on an objective dodging on 18s with 2 effective wounds and Total Immunity is as good as it gets for a non Heavy Infantry in Haqq. In vanilla, I see her occupying the same role as the Ayyar. A kind of back-up specialist that can flip buttons nearer to the deployment zone while the other infiltrators go deeper into enemy territory. Or perhaps even in missions where there's an exclusion zone and your typical infiltrating specialists are kind of gimped (hello Rescue, Unmasking, Comms Center) and you will be pumping lots of orders into 1 unit pressing buttons anyway instead of shooting stuff. I think I would take the Rife + LSG version more too. Leave the shooting to other hunters in Haqq if I can help it.
The new total immunity makes her even better. Stun means nothing to her. She is always going to be able to get to that button.
Correct. He can't join the Namurr in a duo, but if you have your heart absolutely set on fielding two person fireteam with them, you can do so by using up your one Core fireteam slot.
Speaking of which, I now want to throw this fire team together and just jam it down the board: NAMURR Spitfire, E/Marat, D-Charges / Heavy Pistol, E/M CC Weapon, Knife. (1 | 44) NAMURR Spitfire, E/Marat, D-Charges / Heavy Pistol, E/M CC Weapon, Knife. (1 | 44) TARIK MANSURI Lieutenant L2 Spitfire, Nanopulser, Grenades / Pistol, DA CCW. (1.5 | 59) KHAWARIJ (Fatality L1, Multispectral Visor L2) Mk12 / Pistol, AP CCW. (0.5 | 36) KHAWARIJ (Fatality L1, Multispectral Visor L2) Mk12 / Pistol, AP CCW. (0.5 | 36) 4.5 SWC | 219 Points
Render of the model is now up on the main site:https://www.infinitythegame.com/blog/item/665-adepticon-2019-news
Very nice, and will fill the role of Nahab too, in the meantime. Now where's a Ragik who can donate his wings...
Supersoldiers don't need wings or parachutes, @vorthain :) She'll be an excellent Nahab, and Patsy looks like a CoC Hortlak to me.
Damn her mini looks cool. Was kind'a afraid she wouldn't end up with a dynamic pose, standing and shooting her rifle)
As someone who's spent most of their Infinity life playing Nomads, I see the Namurr as a great answer to a lot of the tricks I can pull to make an opponent's Active Turn a huge pain. Between the LSG and an 18 to dodge, she's practically the perfect counter to midfield Morans.
