Rui Shi's can join Zuyong Fireteam Core. MSV2 + Markmanship + BS12 + 5-man-team = 5 dice on 18s to hit against anything in the game within 24" (except Albedo). Bounty Hunters, Miranda Ashcroft, and Valerya Gromoz have Wildcard, so can join the Zuyong link. You can make the 5-man link without an actual Zuyong! Smoke is available on McMurder, Al Fasid, the motorized 112, Kum Bikers, Saito Togan, and potentially the Bounty Hunters if they roll well on the Booty chart. I'm so excited :D MSV2 kills ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 7 3 3 RUI SHI Spitfire / Electric Pulse. I need a brawler box .... :( I think the rui shi is one of the best attack pieces of the game, now with a bs 15 ( link bonus) I think it's a monster
I'm honestly failing to see how Dashat isn't insanely busted. I'm seeing all kinds of 20 Order lists with numerous, top tier combat pieces included. How did they get so many cheap Orders in one army? The Links they can build are so good and they have McMurrough and Togan as rambo models. *sigh*
Spitfire are Midrange weapon. If we are trying to shoot it into someone unlucky, it firstly needs to advance close into midtables range. Welp not wanna be a party foul, but Rui Shi is rather hard to save its own ass after shooting. This I can assure, since Im a YJ player for a long time, its a remote. We all know killing remotes are easier to take out aside from TR bots. If that remote's a linkman - congrats. The hard 1st contact gone smoothly, now your Zuyongwhatsoever team is in 4-men waiting to be butchered. I'm not saying it is powerful, just saying it got its own vital weaknesses.
@ObviousGray Sure but you can easily just run away under smoke coverage to a safe position. This army is cheap Orders on top of cheap Orders. It is an Active Turn piece so you move out (it's faster than a normal Trooper so effective 30" shooting range) and it's in a 5 Man Core where you can Hack buff it on top of that. Is it really going to be that hard to play interference when it backs off near the end of your turn? We're talking a Faction with two Liberto, Zhencha, Hulang, etc.
Oh definitely it's a glass cannon if you take the LI link to back it up, by itself it's really no more defensible than any LI link (except for Miranda's ODD). It does, on the other hand, appear to be the cheapest, most reliable-to-hit gunfighter in the game as far as I can tell (not to add the opponent shooting back through smoke). Also, did McMurrough always have Berserk? He can hit on 32's! I think that's the highest CC I've ever seen.
Dude, I played IS. Cheap orders are not a problem. It is rather opposite - you take down the cannon guy, left is just a hand of weaklings. Taking out does not always mean shooting sth to death. Remotes are perfect target for Specfire, DTWs since they are crippled from dodges. In this case we can even include hacking - which is menacing when a sectorial is absent from KHDs. Again, I'm not planning on Party foul. Dashat is interesting, but having a remote in your link got its major drawback. Even it is a Rui Shi.

The biggest issue is these lists build themselves. There's no reason not to take 7 cheap Remotes and the Trakot Mul Controller for 8 Orders. 64pts. You can literally use whatever else you want.
I see what you mean, but I don't know if it's really going to be a problem. Can you even deploy all those units sensibly? The first thing that comes to my mind is the field day Fidays will have using these big dumb remotes blocking up the DZ to lay shotgun templates on real targets.
I guess it depends on the tables in your meta. Some of the REMs are on ARO duty so they deploy for real. My tables are pretty dense since we think that's how Infinity plays best, that's what I've seen at events too. Fidays are very easy to deploy around but yes if you get a bad table and someone who has the correct answer, might be hard.
Actually you can't. None of those wildcards have the skill Fireteam: Core. You need at least 1 person in the link to carry the fireteam skill to form it. The Zuyong is the only option so you will have to bring at least 1. In the list you posted the ABH and Gromoz can form a Fireteam with either the Ghulams or the Brawlers as they provide the Fireteam: Core skill. The Rui Shi however can't join either of those. Not quite. You forgot the hacker to enable the Fanous and Kameels.
There's a lof other super cheap stuff you might take instead, like kum bikers and libertos. That's also something i've experienced with ISS, i usually run out of points before i've included all the cheap stuff, and i can count the number of times i've played an 8pt baggage bot on one hand since I'd rather have another kuang-shi instead. Also, while it's nice to have bunch of very cheep orders, it's equally as important to have units to spend them on.
This is not accurate. Haris and Duo require a unit with the relevant skill, but Core does not have that requirement. added to that there is no Skill "Fireteam:Core"
Well there is, it's printed on the unit under "special skills" which begs the question why do they bother to designate the skill if it's not required for anything.
