Remember he can put that Mine on your Kamau just fine, Helot Camo token in ZOC or not, if he can also catch the Kamau. Best chance you have is to deploy the Kamau MSR deep enough in your DZ that the Speculo has to risk the WIP roll if he wants to put the Mine on him. With the downside that if he passes there will be several Link members in trouble. /edit: You don't really run a lot of "sturdy" troops so the problem that a B5 Fat2 gun is another nail in the coffin for high ARM troops doesn't affect your playstyle much. I'm probably also gonna cut down on the occasional TAG as a result to fully transition to the same playstyle. That's already how I play most armies anyway. With SMGs, E/M and other means to deal with them being literally everywhere spamming more bodies more than ever seems to be the better choice.
@Teslarod Yes, spacing will be really important. Helots won't help a ton, but at least they can occupy alleys or stand at corners, and help deter mines from being dropped around corners. The Zulu Cobra LT gets more valuable too, and it'll be important to be conscious of what's around him so that he doesn't catch a mine in the face by mistake. Agreed that hugging the back edge and forcing the WIP roll will encourage the gamble, or force the Shas player to take the conservative option and deploy outside the DZ.
I think it is way too early to have such a talk about power creep and all that, units have been tested and tested, if the ITS and list results show a vastly different picture things will be considered appropriately.
Honestly, a speculo killer is relatively expensive and the minelayer option costs 1.5 SWC. If they spend that much just so the Speculo can die after killing the Kamau sniper then its a pretty even trade. Just make sure the Speculo dies. ;)
Hope you are right @psychoticstorm and everything was tested multiple times, and hope that the balance between FC and Dashat (to put an example) is the same in the end, i really do. But if its not and its the way everyone appears to think, then there is something really wrong in the way CB is testing. Tarik became a no brainer for god sake, in link he can shoot on 4s against a Cutter in cover and still has a 41% of getting a crit. Plus after Dashat any "PanO has good visors and thats why you dont get smoke" became kind of a bad taste joke.
Cant believe 2 days ago was disusing if buy the Securitate SWC box or the Tunguka starter to go deep in FC...... and today im browsing Guild Ball teams
Varuna was well received and turned out great according to ITS data. MO has issues that show in ITS data. Most people saw that coming. Just a quick prediction to have around for in 3 months. Shas will be great, top 10. Ramah will be top 15. Dashat and Spiral will be top half and duke it out for best NA2 Sectorial. Spiral will be a good bit behind Tohaa Vanilla. Foreign will be botton 15. PanO Vanilla climbs out of the bottom 5.
My only dispute is that I think you are being soft on Shas, who I think will crack top 5. Otherwise this seems spot on.
Yeah especially since there is no new box release so far and Shas numbers should be mostly Veteran Players. Wouldn't even be surprised if they crack top 3 and leave Vanilla CA behind them. Not sure if they can crack Tohaa. Despite getting new stuff I'd also bet money on Tohaa dropping a place or three. New Profiles are nice, but I have my doubts they improve the Faction enough to make up for the Mate rework.
"Obviously you are wrong! Our software was tested by our best testers and they had assured us it's bug free!"
Also did McMurder became 10" Assault monster combining it with SuperJump and fact it can now crit on 8s ? FK concept seems more and more "well designed and well tested" xD
Assault specifically lets the trooper make a Move Short Movement Skill. Super Jump doesn't interact with that in any way, because it makes Jump a Short Movement Skill but doesn't change it into the Move skill.
Massive change. "Total Immunity" now means TOTAL. EVERYTHING that causes ARM or BTS rolls only does 1W, unless the profile has a specific Vulnerability (like Dogwarriors and Vuln:Viral). And you're also immune to Non-Lethal ammo outright. Kick back, have a beer, watch the pretty ladies/gents/whichever walk by.
