I just saw Maggy got a Mine Dispenser and can Duo. I was thinking the Rafiq was a bad Duo option, but Leila is nice alternative.
Rafiq is a great duo option! Fast, specialist, sensor to uncover pesky camo markers, repeater so your KHDs can lance enemy AHDs going for your TAG, shotgun for close defence against stuff going for your TAG in CQB...
I gotta agree with @Solar . Rafiq is a toolbox that can do it all. I love Leila, but the KHD won't necessarily be as useful versus enemy AHD going for the Maghariba than the Rafiq and a regular hacker (if I remember how it works correctly).
ye next profile with Toilet paper dispenser ;) is any one thinking of actual usage ? as Maggy usualy is unable to fit in any terrain betwen any buildings
That's why I was semi-joking, but it is an option if you need to move - you're not hemmed in by the buildings that are around you :D
Yeah, and it's just sooo great :D I really like ABH with Red Fury for 0,5SWC, and now we can have Rafiq specialist with similar cost, RF and option to get Marksmanship... Wow! :D And it seems that other armies didn't get this kind of REM, so it's even better ;) And Maghariba with Rafiq - nice combo. Going to try it. It's Ramah time! PozdRawiam / Greetings
If your tables are that tight, I don't think the Maghariba Guard is going to be your biggest issue... ;-)
If your buildings are shorter than Maggie, you're already drawing AROs, nothing lost by combat parkour-ing over them. Yeah, Maggie with a cute little 'baby maggie' (Rafiq Red Fury) looks like a lot of fun!
Morats pay 94pts for the Raicho and get actual mileage out of the mine Dispenser. 99pts, getting the Flamethrower and Pistol rangebands with the Visor are decent. As for actual use for the Dispenser there are two major practical uses. Cracking Link Teams. Even at -6 Rangebands the fact that dropping these is unopposed gives you decent odds to use them to combat tough link teams. You can fart mines out a long distance in front of otherwise aggravating targets like the dreaded Kamau Sniper, then engage them and either force them to take a straight up armour save or Dodge against your shooting. Intercepting Camo spam. You can fire these without needing to target what you're AROing. Just like you can dump a smoke grenade to protect a model, you can start dumping mines if the Maggie catches sight of Camo markers scooting about in the distance. While you can't directly drop the mine on the Camo markers without another viable target in range, you can drop in their intended future path like behind a building they're going to sneak past. It makes Oniwabans that want to stab your shit quite unhappy.
You are making good points but I still dont like to spend 100 points for that. Maybe I will in time, if I have big problems without a Dispenser...but until then nope.
You use your Maggie to drop Mines in choke points, with enemy troops staring at them, and then you storm up a flank and start killing enemy troops. You also can then take a commanding position overlooking objectives, with the Rafiq giving you close protection. First time you might only flank and kill 2-3 guys but you're putting the pressure on and bringing your own support. The Mag and Rafiq is 115pts but with a Ghulam link and Fanous you can easily get to 14 orders.
