I agree, seems like bad tankhunters. Mebbe they are better in spiral, which seems to lack in the bug guns department, but i cant think of a reason id want to run this in vanilla, aside from pure chaksa love. Even the 19 point one isnt as good as just bringing a 12 point kaauri for defending your dz
Which they are, except kurgats still have a use as engineers, the long arms are only here as gun platforms.
True enough. I'd say the Pulzer Longarm is probably the stand out. which is perhaps alittle depressing.
If we could throw the poor things I to proper triads they could find a place, but the Harris and most of their stand alone options just dont make the cut for me I think, which will suck when they get really cool models in 5-6 years.
Are the points just wrong? How the hell is a missile launcher version 12 points more than a fusilier.
Well. +3 CC, +2 PH +2 Arm + Multiterrain + Religious + CCWeapon. They all add points. Still feels expensive though.
Yeah these guys don't look useful at all. 3 ARM is nice but they suck at shooting and you can't overcome that and they're VERY expensive. Wasn't expecting much from them, got what I "hoped" for.
The minis might still look so awesome that you have to put them on the gaming table! (trying to keep my excitement up as much as possible)
I would guess that its fairly inexpensive. As is multi terrain and CC Weapons. But Stat Bonuses seem to add up fast.
It feels a bit worse when you consider that it's - 1 BS as well. It's possible that they've bloated them a bit with needless stats because they don't want Spiral or Tohaa to have efficient static firebases? Whatever the reasoning they do feel very underwhelming
I can think of worse things. But its also alot of points to get that Burst 3 Autocannon. Minimum 70 points?
Main use I see is having the Kriigal in a link marking things for destruction, and the Chaksa Long Arms following up. Beyond that, hopefully some cool models.
If you are already marking someone, just rain fire over it with a Chaksa Auxiliar (Smart Heavy Rocket Launcher profile).
