The Artwork for Valkyrie looks so badass! Hope they make the mini equally cool looking. Will absolutly play Foreign Company for the SoF alone. A question fluffwise: Are the troops form other factions in the mercenaries sectorials really troops from their original faction or are they only using similar equipment? So do i paint e.g. Neotera Bolts in PanO colors and the Kriza in Tunguska colors or has the Foreign Company a own color scheme? And if they are really troops from the original faction how does the lore explain a collaboration between PanO and Nomads?
They're working together for those dollar dollar bills, these are mercenaries after all. Most likely explanation is that Hannibal actively recruits from certain regiments and/or has contacts with them from previous jobs. As for paint, that's completely up to the player. If I branch out I'm probably going to keep my existing PanO colours for the borrowed Nomad troopers.
Except we're probably looking at an NA2 force that is Shas+humans if that pattern holds, assuming a Battle Box with Shas is coming this GenCon. How do you think PanO keeps secrets from Aleph? Nomads!
Ah i see. I tought to much of coherent factions when there are more grey areas. I like it. Apart from that does anybody know if there is a possibilty to get the concept art for the Foreign Company as wallpaper or something like that? Especially the conept art for Valkyrie and the image of the SoF investigating this lab room.
Oh, and that PanO-using-Nomads-to-keep-secrets-from-Aleph thing is explicitly stated in the Tunguska fluff, though it's not just PanO (or PanO companies), it's everyone.
Honestly the Dashat Company looks very good. Strong and cheap midfield presence with Libertos Minelayers and Hunks, supplemented with the addition of Saito. Highly efficient and synergistic attack pieces like McMurrough, the Rui Shi and the MSV2 Brawler. One of the best doctors in the game in the Ghulam. x3 Flash Pulse bots (eat your heart out NCA). All supported with a Zuyong Core or Brawler castle. Like Ariadna with MSV2 and tech. As an aside, looking at all these NA2 armies is very much an exercise in financial restraint. I know that as soon as I go, "oh I'll just tip my toe into Haqq with the Dashats, or Nomads with the Foreign company", I'll end up with 5 fully expanded core armies... A happy problem lmao.
I like Zeros better than the first three and the fourth is neither technically a skirmisher, nor does he provide skirmisher duties for me. Nagas probably come the closest but having a dirt cheap mid-field camo button pusher like the Zero is invaluable.
Hmm, Foreign Company seems like it will be tough to fit in all those characters, maybe it's even possible to do LI lists without HI for once. If they link with Kaplan then it might be a nice force and pretty much what I always wanted to play. Would have love some Tsyklons though! Cool that Valkyrie didn't end up being a S5 mini! Puh!
So apparently orcs can join the SoF fireteam to make it a 5 man team as shown in the batrep video today. Either that or maybe all of the SoF guys have wildcard and joined an orc fireteam?
I'm hoping at least Hannibal has wildcard. There's three different teams I'd like to run with AVA 4, all with "Special" listed under their fire team comp. I'm really hoping we're not stuck with just the Securitate core.

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can form a link team with The Soldiers of Fortune.
I hope the fluff gives Valkyrie an irrational fear of flying, and that they need to break Massacre out of a mental institution before each mission.

Really looking forward to Dashat Company. I only wished there were more Yu Jing units in it. You could easily squeeze Yisheng and Mech Engineers in there.
The 112 and Ghulam doc would both outshine the Yisheng, but it might be a good excuse to convert a shotgun welding Yisheng as a proxy!
Good thing I just care about Foreign Company and I already got into PanO. So that problem is null and void for me at least. That is what was disappointing to me about Dashat. Too little Yu Jing to justify it being a Haqq/Yu Jing sectorial. Ikari is more of a Yu Jing+ sectorial than Dashat is ever going to be.
@Koni have any spoilers for what the Dahshat special links are dropped yet? What allows the Zuyong and Brawlers to fill out their core links is what's keeping me on the fence at the moment. Mech Engineer is also completely pointless when there's a cheaper Dozer in the army that also unlocks Traktor Muls.
