Guilang AHD in camo state walks into the trigger area of a cyber mine.

What happens? Can the opponent ask whether the guilang is a viable hacking target?

One player has to volunteer the information. The camo doesn't theoretically know it's a cybermine which means it's up to the Nomad to volunteer it.

However, practically I don't think there are Cybermines on Minelayer profiles...

Sounds like it doesn't need an FAQ, but merely a "coffee talk", given how long this has been an issue :D

The Cybermine player should be able to ask if the Guilang marker is hackable (same question he would ask if the cybermine were an AHD)

This being said : as @Mahtamori said there is no cybermine minelayer so every cybermine position is known by both player. So both player should know the mine should react when the Guilang move close enough.

That is a good point, I had overlooked there isn't really a situation where this can occur.... yet.

@Koni please consider answering this question now that Laxmee comes with Minelayer and Cybermines it has become more important.

Probably better question is first to confirm whether:
    • Once on the game table, Cybermines must trigger when an enemy figure or Marker that is a Hacker or possesses the Hackable Characteristic (HI, TAG, REM...) declares or executes an Order or ARO inside their Trigger Area.
is supposed to just to trigger off of troopers that are on the table as models or targetable markers (such as holoechoes, decoys, or whatever); or whether it’s supposed to trigger on camo markers and the like in spite of the “cannot declare attacks” clauses on those marker states?

Yeah, I know mines say the same thing about triggering on “enemy figure or Marker”. I’m just asking to make sure that this isn’t one of those “Surprise, you’ve been playing it wrong the whole time” moments and the rule isn’t supposed to be complicated.

It's supposed to trigger off troopers, whether they are models or markers. The exception being troopers in IMP state as usual.

Then there is basically a catch-22 where you’ve got two two different pieces of hidden information and you can’t ask about the other without revealing yours.

    1. Is the camo marker placed at deployment a cybermine?
    2. Is the marker state trooper (who has been a marker state the whole game) a hacker?

Do you just force the owner of the cybermine to ask?

Camo markers are not hackable, no matter what is below them.

Cybermines only explode against hackable targets.

Isn't it a bit of a moot point as there are no Camo units with Cybermines and Minelayer? You know that the cybermine has been deployed either by the skill being declared (Heckler)or the count of Laxmee's equipment

uh, minelayer can hide the presence of other troops. If there is two camo marker nearby Laxmee (and both in Deployment Zone), one is a cybermine (double check with equipment count) and the other is a Zero. So it is possible to have a problem when you take effort to use the minelayer to hide your zero.

Didn't think about that until after I posted. Order counts still show the Zero is out there.

Probably more important for that though is your opponent wouldn't know which is which if they are both in ZoC of her.

Camouflaged state has no effect on the Hackable Characteristic of a trooper.

You're presumably thinking of Hacking Programs not being able to target Camo markers because you can't declare Attacks against them.

Wouldn't the Hackable Characteristic be hidden as Private Information though?

Yet the cybermine rules state that it has to activate, requiring that hidden knowledge.

Anti-personnel mines are already doing the improbable and declaring an attack against camo markers. What’s asking whether the camo marker is a hacker compared to that?

That's what I thought. Just figured it was worth getting out there in black and white if you will
