The Kiel-San Covert Assault Unit is the new beefy CC unit. This unit looks like it was created to take on particular Armies with strong CC by going head to head with it's Natural Born Warrior. It's an interesting difference when compared to the job of the Makaul or the Igao. It's S5 and slightly more durable than an Ectros with it's 4 ARM vs the Ectros 3. This unit does not have the Fireteam Triad skill, so it will be a useful unit when wanting to do a coordinated Order.
It might be worth keeping an eye on fireyram options, sometimes the special options aren't in the profile line itself. Daoyaki being a similar example.
Not completely sold on this one. But you are right with Martial Arts heavy CC Armies, it could be very usefull (Looking in direction of JSA and MO). Red Fury and Panzerfaust are good weapons, too. So much Shock damage with that guy. Speed 6-2 is also really good. The lacking Fireteam is a Little bit of a down side but it couldn´t have everything i guess. One Problem with it will be that it is hachable, in a faction with (maybe) a single KHD and hackers everywhere it could be nasty, BTS 6 is solid at least. 53/1 Points is also not that expensive. Like it better than the Dayokai.
There are tons of Nullifiers in the Tohaa arsenal and we do have a Killer Hacker. But it is something to worry about even with those tools. In Spiral Corps we will have access to even more hackers. It would be a unit that you might not want to run against armies like Nomads. It's an interesting choice, but not a must have for every list.
I'd just like to remind people that natural born warrior gives a unit both v: courage and stealth. So you can move this guy around repeaters with ease.
The Kiel-San also has access to a 'bomb which is a decent response to hacking if it is not through a repeater, (especially if it is your active turn). The 16 point White Hacking device on the Kamael is worth taking for Fairy Dust, imposing a -3 WIP to the hacker, and bumping the Kiel-San up to BTS 9. I actually think this unit shines against non-CC units as well as its multiple wounds allow it to take a lucky ARO and keep up the attack. Assault and NBW allows you to keep CC 21 on the Assault, and a 6" short move allows it to move into the next unit with ease. Also do not count it out as a highly mobile gun fighter. Its weapons options are great.
Yes for Tohaa I was aware of the KHD but were there any Infos about Spiral? Guess we get some kind of Merc there. Well, guess it is wait and see. I completely did not knew that natural born warrior grants stealth, with that it gets indeed much better. Thanks for the tip.
Meta chemistry on a big beefy guy is also interesting, if he gets Regen, he makes is rolls on a 17! with the symbiont buff.
15 if he's unconscious, you'd only get 17 if you were trying to heal the Active symbiote profile back up to 2 wounds.
Regen doesn't work on Symbiont Armor. You can only regen to an inactive armor state from unconscious. Also: SYMBIONT ARMOR AUTOMATIC EQUIPMENT Fire-Sensitive, Non-Lootable, Obligatory REQUIREMENTS EFFECTS This piece of Equipment allows its bearer to be deployed in Active Symbiont Armor game state. During the game, it allows the use of the Active Symbiont Armor state. In Unconscious state, the bearer of this piece of Equipment applies a MOD of +3 to his PH Attribute when using the Regeneration Special Skill, or when the AutoMediKit and MediKit pieces of Equipment are applied to him.
We're both wrong. Regeneration doesn't have the requirement to be unconscious, just that you've lost a wound, but as you point out the +3 from Symbiont only applies to an unconscious trooper.
The first line under effects says "in a null state". Doesn't that mean Unconscious? I assumed it was written as Null in case Regen was on a mechanical unit instead of a living one. REGENERATION ENTIRE ORDER Optional. REQUIREMENTS Optional. EFFECTS This Special Skill allows its user to spend the Entire Order required to activate it even when on the battlefield in a Null state. Regeneration allows its user, by passing a PH Roll, to regain 1 point previously lost from his Wounds Attribute. If the user fails his PH Roll, he loses 1 additional point from his Wounds Attribute. If the user is Unconscious and fails his PH Roll, he immediately Dies and is removed from play. If the user lost enough points from his Wounds Attribute to enter the Dead state before he could attempt to activate Regeneration, he cannot use this Special Skill and must be removed from play. (For example, if a trooper with Wounds 1 receives three hits from a Burst and fails two Armor Rolls). Troopers with Regeneration do not generate Orders for themselves or for their Order Pool while they are Unconscious.

That's an effect, not a requirement, it means that the skill be Declared in a null state, which is an exception to the rule that Unconscious troopers cannot Declare Orders or Skills. Nowhere does it say you MUST be in a Null state, Doctor and (Auto)medikit both have Unconscious as a requirement but Regeneration does not, people have been regerating conscious Asawiras for years.
