Total inmunity, climb plus, specialist and E/marat in just a porfile. (+ spitfire if you want) don't know in rammah for cost but in vanilla she can be a monster
So designers have done it again, they have found another way to cheat the game system. To the frenzy state/link interaction exploit and the SMG abuse they now add the "how to make an affordable HI? easy, just make it a LI with NWI and any skill that prevents shock." I was afraid of that upon seeing Dart profile but now it's a fact, the tag of HI is a scam as it just means " vulnerable to hacking and E/M while doubling the cost of the skills added". Such a genius move designers: you have screwed up the HI units in this game.
Move in and tank the HFT, CC with a normal roll. If that isnt enough, pull her Duo partner in. Hell fuck it, just use the E-Marat while moving in. As I said in another place, more CC prowess wouldnt have hurt for her, but she can do a lot of stuff, when necessary.
It also means ARM 3+, but I agree that the sudden proliferation of NWI + Bio/Shock/Total Immunity is a bit worrying.
And better PH and BTS. Stats are expensive past certain point, that's what make HI expensive. Also, true HI can be brought up again by a Doctor (or Medikit, with reasonable chances thanks to high PH) after going unconscious.
Not inaccurate, but I originally picked up a box for my swordmaster because they made me think of his old unit (aside from the naval part; he was Ranger). Just a shame is all.
It does feel like the end of an era for me. The Azra'il was my first painted Infinity model and still my favorite. As for RTF, ImI happy with Janissaries in the faction.
You need to check the stats of the new HI units that received Invincible and think again. Some of them have even worse PH / BTS stats than your Tohaa simbiont armor units. And you just said it, you highlighted the term "true HI". My point is that the tag HI now it only supposes "the unit gets some very threatening vulnerabilities while having the cost of the skills assigned increased" . The tag HI is now just a debuff with no advantages. It doesn't imply extra PH, no extra BTS, no extra wounds and shock inmunity, nothing. Just a debuff. Then… why bother making a unit HI? Just make it LI or MI, that's what units like Yadu, Dart and the new Haqq supersoldiers are showing. For what is worth Haqq just received some new units that have the resilience of HI and combat stats of an elite unit while being cheaper because they can pack more skills for the same cost because they don't have the HI tax. And of course invulnerable to hacking.
GW is that way. --> Janzerker is talking about discounts. Being a character isn't affording profiles discounts, only more attention to details and access to stuff normal units of the same type wouldn't get. Hence, point stands. The two profiles are remarkably similar except the Dart has a lot more going for it, not least of which is unhackable, and as such should be noteably more expensive. However, where the comparison differs to Janzerker's point is that both employ the same discount "trick" with NWI. (Except that the HI does it worse)
Well as a design direction I like it for "extremely light HI" and the ones in Ramah are genetically altered supersoldiers so it makes a lot of sense.
