Nox sit nicely between Unidrons and Vangurds for me, so no real complaints about another 14 point line troop here. It always just looks a little high in comparison to other things, but I actually feel like I’m paying for useful stuff here
I gotta say that I can see a lot of utility in the Nox fire teams. Having template weapons on your core link is awesome and firing those zappers through the nimbus plus provided by your lgl. is going to be a fun trick. The bioimmunity gives the Shasvaasti rule some relevance against all the shock ammo out there. Stealth is not the greatest skill in the world but it has it's uses.We get a linked HMG now. It also looks like there are going to be quite a few different profiles that we can slot into the link. We also get a cheap hacker and a multi sniper option.
Stealth on the hacker is pretty nice imo. Makes him decent at running up and scoring an objective or card late game even if you’re playing Transmission Matrix or your opponent is playing heavy into infowars
Just noticed that the Victor Messer Boarding shotgun load out has a weapon called a Dazer. Anyone got any idea what this might be?.
I had the same thought and I’d like that weapon. Probably not on my 29 point hacker who’d usually rather use his 2 nanopulsars or boarding shotgun in that situation, but the idea is nice
I was guessing it was some sort of stun weapon. It mustn't be all that powerful though, otherwise his points relative to the multi rifle load out would surely be higher. Also I am really liking the idea of him having cybermines. If he is able to link with the Nox (and my guess at this point he will) you could create some real mischief between zappers (needing a dodge to avoid) and cybermines (needing a reset) to mess with tough targets.
There's only a single each of Core, Duo and Haris in the sectorial as is, right? Nox core, Jayth duo and haris. Everything else is special and low AVA, so those have to be the bases to work from. So yeah, looks like maybe Sheshkiin, Victor and Hast will be able to link with the Nox. That's cool. Way, way cheaper platform for making Sheshkiin BS18 B5 if true.
I think I’d always dodge and tank the cybermine hit in this case, but it is an interesting use of his loadout for sure. Not something I’d wanna be on the receiving end of
Nimbus plus is very interesting to me. I don’t usually eat excited for nimbus, but being plus and on a line troop makes me excited and much more likely to use it. Especially with hopefully such varied options to shove in the link with the grenade launcher

No. Because the Fireteam burst bonus doesn't apply on entire orders, and the +3 doesn't apply because Triangulated Fire says it ignores all other MODs.
Would an M drone's triangulated fire negate the -1 burst mod? The rules for Triangulated fire state that it ignores all mods but does not specifically mention burst mods. If it is the case that it ignores the mod then it could be a really handy tool for removing really pesky threats that like to stack negative mods against you (t.o. snipers for example. The nimbus plus is also going to have a great synergy with the dual flamer ikadrones and the sphinx. Imagine a sphinx hitting you with a surprise shot through a nimbus plus zone That will be a - 9 to your reaction against two damage 15 flamethrowers. As an aside I will be curious to see how many options there will be for smoke. It looks like the speculo is going to keep hers but one or two more options would be nice. In particular an impetuous option would be handy as it looks like we may be getting a warband unit who will likely not have smoke (being beasts) and will need cover.
Two ideas I got reading the new profiles : - I hope one of the new profile will be supplantation agent with inferior impersonnation - Shas are getting ambush camo, giving Seed-Embryo the ambush camo ability (instead of standard camo) would bring an interesting shell game to shas
Fatality only works on weapons that use BS, but apart from that, yeah. “Oh you have MSV2? Won’t help you against nimbus+. Also, let Victor here plant a white noise template on all our camo guys”
guys im a little lost here, if u have burst 2 with those em2 templates because u are in fireteam, but if u shoot through nimbus plus u got -1 to burst no?? oh and i though nimbus grenades were practically useless, can you tell me some cases when they have some use? thanks
