So in Carlos' video today he mentioned QK was getting a revamp. What does everyone think is coming. Here are mine.
    • Azrail get Fireteams again
    • KTS profile revamp, and they are added to new NA2 sectoral
    • Odalisques get a specialist profile
    • Fire team options with mixed Alguaciles & Mobile Brigada.
    • Rewording on Hafza fire team rules (wildcard)

Eh. I’m not too keen on mixing it up with more nomads stuff, but I think this may be fairly accurate. It at least sums up a lot of the community consensus.

Azra'il + Janissary Duo a la new MB + Gecko Duo would be a neat way to take around Akbar Doc with the big man.

Unless they're getting added to Foreign Company, or maybe even StarCo, I don't see where KTS would fit within NA2. KTS are called out in the fluff as being extremely honorable for a mercenary corp, and the new NA2 sectorials are...not. The Dahshat blurb we saw claims they are divorced from Haqqislamite ideals, and Spiral Corps is the sketchy, Triumvirate-aligned Tohaa force. Foreign Company may be a fit, but it sounds like they're mostly going to be characters and PanO units, and StarCo might work, but I imagine if KTS were going to be added there they already would have been.

Give them their own sectorial like DBS and I’d be happy.

According to the rumors leaked, that are proving to be right for the most part, KTS are available in the Foreign Company

Personally, I'm not in favour of speculation. But since we are there, forgive me playing advocatus diaboli:
    1. With whom? Points-wise, AVA-wise, SWC-wise nad role-wise, it would be rather pointless to have Azrail-only Fireteam. Even with Hafzas it is kinda one-trick-pony IMO.
    2. What's wrong with KTS profile? Though them showing up in some NA2 at some point is a given - then again, this won't be affecting QK as an army.
    3. That's actually likely (I'd say a Hacker would be appropriate there, fluff-wise), than agian, isn't that covered by Hafza FO yet...?
    4. Unless it is modified beyond 4 Agualiles and 1 Mobile Brigada currently available in the QK, I'd say it is pointless. We've done this to death back in 2ed, with one Janissary and four Hafzas: not enough staying power.
    5. i.e. effectively return to 2ed status? As that's how it was, and CB wanted to get rid of...

    1. Given the preview we saw for Corregidor I can readily see a "Special" fire team of an Azrail and two Janissary. Some people are obsessed with an Akbar doctor following everyone around, so... ;)
    2. KTS I would honestly 'retire' out. Story-wise they can activate their morality clause. :p Improve the Nomads enough and some more mixed fire teams and most of the functions could be moved elsewhere. Not deleted from the sectorial but otherwise on hold.
    3. Odalisque could certainly pick up a Specialist Operative. I'm not too sure from a story perspective why they would be trained for hacking or the like. They are supposed to be seen after all. Seems murky.
    4. Swapping AVA and the like to match the new format for them doesn't seem too far fetched. AVA 5 and AVA 2 isn't a stretch. What they need though is to not be budget Ghulam.
    5. Hafza could readily be wildcards. The entire concept of mixed fire teams flies in the face of the original change from HSN3 anyhow. Hopefully with some clever profiles such as Number Two, Strategos 1, Tactical Sense, or the like.

Why retire KTS? They're some of the coolest units available to haqq imo.

    1. That'd be a Haris, wouldn't it be? Also, we can already have a Janissary Doc with a Nasmar near two different Azra'ils... also, wasn't the whole "azra'il redesign" idea to make them viable solo models?
    2. Can't really see the point.
    3. Fluff-wise, a versatile security detail should have someone well-versed in cybersecurity, shouldn't it? I dare to suspect you had the classic HD /Assault HD / Killer HD triangle in mind - but perhaps a Defensive HD or even White HD could fit the bill of "cybersecurity specialist" as well? Other idea would be a medical specialist (Doctor or even Paramedic - good bodyguards have lifesaving techniques covered as well, and we don't really have to flash Haqq superiority by adding Doctor Plus here. But then again, a medic on what was long considered to be "light-light HI" could be too much). Vanilla "Specialist Operative" certainly would work, but I wouldn't consider it fluffy. YMMV, naturally :)
    4. True, but what would that make better, save from basically doing "Janissary + Hafzas, just a bit cheaper" (and thus, essentially, making Janissary + Hafzas more or less an excercise in fuility, dare I say).?
    5. Oh, I've been asking for a Character Hafza with Strategos L1 since Hafza became a thing in the 2ed HS. Certainly a fit unit to receive some of the command upgrades, I agree. It is in their fluff, after all. Whether they will, we are to learn really soon :) (though I can't say I expect them to!).

    1. Just give him special wildcard to allow single Azrail join any link :)
    2. Why retire Kaplans? I don't like minies, but profiles are OK. Also very thematic – I cannot name any unit in the whole game that will show the same feel of a professional PMC operator who respects the law. No pun intended to our Corregidor allies.
    3. Paramedic would be bullseye shot. Must have skill for a high level professional bodyguard, I suppose. Would be nice to get a sniper profile too.
    4. just increase AVA of MB and make them able to create a mixed FT, but not a proper Core. Though it would be necessary to bring a Ghulam doctor anyway so not so many points saved.
    5. Hafzas must be wildcards. Even if restricted to 2 if core and one in haris, they should be allowed to join any FT in the sectorial, I think.

reworking of sekban to make them a bit more interesting is all i want, they are meant to be a hardened veteran assault unit, but their rules play like a fairly stationary defensive unit with no veteran status.

I thought they were supposed to be defensive? Not that I wouldn’t mind a buff at all. I just thought their fluff was civilian-volunteer orbital defenders.

I agree, the Sekban have decent stats, but are fairly boring.

They originally were but after the silk revolts they were reformed as a veteran unit that was meant to take a more proactive role.
"The Sekban Unit was created by the Sultan as a regular voluntary corps to serve as a defense force for Haqqislamite orbitals and caravansaries..."
"...When the revolts ended, they were no longer a garrison unit, but a veteran corps that could stand up to anyone. The Sultanate rewarded their loyalty by transferring them to the Special Operations Command, where they were rebuilt as an elite assault unit. Although members are still recruited from among the civilian population, candidates now have to endure an extremely severe training, because the Sekban Unit will not allow a slaughter of innocents like the Al-Umara Station Massacre to happen again while one of its members still stands."
Yeah they are just a bit bland, give them veteran L1 or L2, something to reflect a more aggressive role and justify that fairly useless spitfire option

Well, they are simply pretty much like they were when they got introduced in Campaign Paradiso. No more, no less.

I'd rather not upgrade the Sekban with expensive skills. They're fine at their role. Do they need to be any fancier ?

Well, I was surprised - since the day one - that what is essentially QK Armada's Marine component (after all, the role of Sekban is to defend Haqq space installations in case of a boarding, and to carry boarding operations themselves: traditional role attributed to Marines / Naval Infantry of old) lacks troops trained in Demolitions & Damage Control (Engineers), which I would consider rather crucial during a boarding action in space.

So, that's a profile I'd add to the roster.

I hadn't had a chance to test them with the ITS 10 Forward Deployment rule yet, so I don't really know what is going to change in Sekban.

360 is sweet with FD1. I've done it just once, but it was a lot of fun.

I suspect it'll look like the Corregidor Rework. A wildcard unit or two, some special fireteams, and expansions of 'counts as X' rules to allow for weirder link building. Hafza are likely to get the ability to link with Mercs back and mixed HI options are likely. I doubt we will get the REM link options other sectorials do, due to the fluff focus on Manpower.
